Bit of a demo of a VR game I have been making and and off for a little while now.

A fantasy RPG inspired by games such as Ultima Underworld with a focus on user interaction and puzzle style tasks in addition to more classical RPG elements I have enjoyed.

Apologies for bad quality video.. just want to quickly show the latest project I have been working on.. Modelled, Rigged and textured by myself (same for props). Also all custom-written code for controls and camera trying to mimic a few old 3D platformers I enjoyed back in the day.

I was inspired this morning, thinking about Descent - Destination Saturn that I played quite a few years back.. wondered how hard it would be to emulate those controls so wrote some code, made a basic ship mesh in Blender and built this in Unity3D.. reminded me that I am a terrible pilot! Few ideas for this project.. see how it pans out!

Pretty much what I have for level of 1 of my current game.. still a lot of polish, sound effects etc to be added but gameplay is feeling fairly close to what I want (mouse+keyboard) but will need to work on gamepad controls soon.

Bit more work on this project and a shift in camera angle! Still messing with it till I can get enough retro vibes from it to make it 'feel' the way I like.

Last couple of nights been getting back into my game development.. been spending too much time on 'serious' apps and missed making games. This one is looking to be fairly fun, trying out 3D, cartoonish style and retro gameplay.

Drop Bears is a Sci-Fi action puzzler for PC and Android (so far..) that I have decided to put into Early Access on both Itch.io and the Google Play store.

There is 5 levels showing off the core gameplay, however the game will be getting updated with more content and polish.

Open Test of Drop Bears on Google Play now, just click through and self-register for the first 5 levels, game is not complete yet but gives a preview of it and can help me iterate a bit and improve!
