The Anywave team and Marquee Broadcasting engineers, Bill Hoctor, Jeff Smith, Andrew Prouse and Eric Walston during the installation of WMDT-TV Salisbury, Maryland’s new Anywave solid state “ultra-broad band” transmitter that works with repack channels 14-36 as well as channels soon out of core channels like WMDT’s CH 47. “When the time comes, WMDT and Anywave will easily switch the transmitter to CH 29” said Jeff Smith. Bill Hoctor also said “Most transmitters won’t work on both channel 47 and channel 29. Anywave was one of the few manufacturers that could solve our problem.”
WMDT is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Salisbury, Maryland, United States. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on virtual and UHF channel 47 from a transmitter in rural Wicomico County northeast of Mardela Springs. Its repack channel is 29, and is in Phase 8.The tower is the second tallest structure in the state of Maryland.
