Today, Business NSW is proud to release our new policy paper, Keeping Regional NSW Connected: The Future of Our Airports.

Regional airports are critical economic infrastructure. They connect businesses to customers, support tourism and freight, provide access to healthcare and emergency services, and help attract investment, workers and opportunities to regional communities.

Yet this vital network is facing growing challenges. Ageing infrastructure, rising operating costs, workforce shortages, limited airline competition and constrained access to Sydney Airport are placing increasing pressure on regional connectivity.

The stakes are high. Regional NSW is home to millions of people, thousands of businesses and some of Australia's fastest-growing communities. Strong aviation links are essential to their continued economic success.

Our paper outlines a long-term vision for regional aviation and calls for action to:
✈️ Invest in airport infrastructure and resilience
✈️ Improve airline competition and route security
✈️ Strengthen access to Sydney Airport slots
✈️ Develop the aviation workforce pipeline
✈️ Ensure Western Sydney International delivers benefits for regional NSW
✈️ Support the transition to a more sustainable aviation sector

Regional airports are more than gateways – they are economic lifelines. Investing in their future means investing in the future of regional NSW.

The Entourage team hit a milestone recently (and not for the first time!), and it's a testament to the incredible clients who trust us with their tech, and a team that cares about getting it right every time. To celebrate, our Senior Technician & Director Chris Ash did what any great leader does: fired up the smoker and personally prepared a brisket for the crew. Happy clients make the job worth it. We’re proud to share that the rollout of Microsoft Teams Calling across all 45 Joblink Plus sites is nearing completion. This is a huge achievement for our team, delivering this major transformation on time and above expectations.

✅45 sites successfully deployed
✅350 users trained
✅600+ hours on the ground
✅4,700 phone numbers migrated
✅12,000+km travelled
✅27 nights away from home

With a firm deadline of 28 February, our team didn’t just meet it, they smashed it!

Beyond the technical rollout, we also co-created custom training material for Joblink's Intranet ensuring staff feel confident and supported using the new Teams Calling system that will support over 2,000 calls made per day by the Joblink team.

A massive thank you to Joblink Plus for trusting us with this rollout, and to our team for delivering such an outstanding result.

Our team has been hard at work programming a mixture of over 400 Poly IP phones and headsets for Joblink Plus - all configured, tested, and ready to go.

These devices will be rolled out as part of a Microsoft Teams Calling solution across 45 locations throughout NSW, reaching as far as Broken Hill, helping to keep their teams connected as they are servicing clients across the state.

With three technicians on the road, backed remotely by our local support team, we’re completing around seven sites per week and remain on track to complete the rollout by the end of February.

Onsite at Joblink Plus – Broken Hill!

This week, our IT Technician, Kumar headed out to Joblink Plus’s Broken Hill location to roll out their brand-new Public PCs and complete a full MDM migration for their mobile devices.

While onsite, he also:
✔️Organised and sorted existing IT equipment
✔️ Cleaned up and re-cabled the network cabinet
✔️ Connected their smart UPS to the network for improved monitoring and reliability
