Ansarada is proud to celebrate that it has been recognized as a Great Place to Work for Women. In honour of this achievement, Ansarada interviewed Emily Plastow, Growth and Operations Manager, to discuss her career journey at the company.
Emily joined Ansarada in 2016 on a six-month temporary contract in the Finance team while backpacking around Australia and New Zealand. Despite intending to leave after her contract, Emily found a company with a vision and leadership she believed in and decided to stay. Since then, she has held various roles, from Finance to Project Management, to Sales Operations & Enablement, and now leads the ESG team, setting product strategy and supporting ex*****on to validate new ESG products.
Emily describes the culture at Ansarada as welcoming, innovative, high-performance, fun, and a wild family. Emily said that there are opportunities everywhere at Ansarada, and if you challenge yourself, are willing to be out of your comfort zone, and show a willingness to learn and grow, there are abundant opportunities for everyone. During her six years at Ansarada, Emily has taken on new challenges, and Ansarada has always supported and encouraged her to do so.
For Emily, having a flexible work environment is a top priority. She is a morning person and prefers to start her workday earlier, finishing up a little earlier to pick up her toddler from daycare and spend time with him. Balancing family life, mental and physical health through exercise, and work is key to her productivity and happiness. Ansarada has supported her through the process of going on Paid Parental Leave and coming back to work, prioritizing and encouraging her decision to take a year off to focus on parenting. Ansarada has always been flexible and understanding of her plans, changes, and the challenges of being a working parent.
Overall, Ansarada has been a supportive and inclusive workplace for Emily, providing her with opportunities for career growth and the flexibility she needs to balance work and family life. Ansarada celebrates all the women who contribute to making it a Great Place to Work.
