At Optus, we’re big supporters of Safer Internet Day which is all about starting simple conversations around challenging topics related to the online world. As a leading provider of internet technology and with kids spending more time online than ever before, we’re passionate about Safer Internet Day’s movement towards creating a better internet for everyone and look forward to continuing to raise awareness today and throughout the week.
Optus is committed to educating, in particular, young people on responsible and positive online behaviour and in 2013 launched the Optus Digital Thumbprint program. Since 2013, the program has educated over 430,000 primary and secondary students across Australia on how to be safer and smarter online.
