📸 A little week recap from Townsville Internet!

The fearless leader Shaan has managed to sneak away for a couple of well-deserved days off, enjoy it while you can! 😂

Meanwhile, Brock and Rocco have been keeping busy out and about across Townsville.

Over the past few days, the boys have been:

🥁 Drum roll please… the mystery pole has been revealed!

We had some very creative guesses in the comments from access points, speed cameras, bird nests, aliens, a MeshCore repeater, spy cameras, FTTP and even pole dancing. 😂

We absolutely loved seeing what everyone came up with.

So, what did we actually install?

A solar-powered security camera 📹☀️

Our client is on acreage and wanted to know when vehicles enter the property. This camera operates as an independent system using solar power and a SIM card, so it can work in a location where running power and data cabling isn’t practical.

Now our client can receive notifications when someone is coming up the property, giving them a little more awareness of what’s happening around their home.

Thanks to everyone who joined in with the guesses. You definitely made this one entertaining!

We’re already looking forward to the next “What are we doing?” mystery. 👀

🎉 JEFF IS BACK, BABY! WOOHOO! 🎉

After being knocked out sick, Jeff is back on deck and straight back into it! 🙌

He headed back to Townsville Office & Safety Supplies to finish off their security camera relocation and judging by the photo, Jean and Peter are pretty impressed with that camera placement. 😂📸

While Jeff is getting the cameras sorted, Jean also got the grand tour of the new office space. It’s coming together really well and is going to look fantastic once everything is fully set up.

📸 A little recap of the week so far at Townsville Internet!

First up, Jean is back and feeling well again! 🎉 Which means the dynamic duo of Jess & Jean are officially back together in the office. We’re very happy to have the team back at full strength! 💙

We are helping Townsville Office & Safety Supplies relocate their security cameras from their old store across to their new location. It turned into a little more of a battle than expected, especially when Jeff going down sick during the job! 😅 Thankfully, Pete and the team are always great to work with and understand, we appreciate it.

🪜 Meanwhile, Brock has been installing a brand-new security camera system for another local client. Lucky for us, heights don’t seem to bother him nearly as much as they bother some of the rest of us! 😂

🍜 And of course, the team can never say no to a cheeky lunch. Jean stopped into Dragon Hut - Vietnamese Street Food for a quick chat and for some amazing food and we’ve just discovered they’re doing pho every day now! Dangerous information for the Townsville Internet team to have. 🤤

Roof cavity training for Rocco today… although we may have spoiled him with this one.

Anyone who’s spent time crawling through North Queensland roof spaces knows they’re not always this roomy or pleasant!

Today’s job involved getting everything sorted up in the roof and setting up the customer’s router. We were also supposed to install their Starlink…

Supposed to......🤦‍♂️

Somehow, amongst everything else, we managed to pack up and leave without actually installing the Starlink we went there to install. 😂

Thankfully, the customer saw the funny side and had a good laugh at our expense. We’ll be heading back to finish that little detail!

Even the tech guys have their moments, we are human after all. 😅
