I've had two clients today alone check in with me about some invoices they've received from a company they don't recognise, for "domain renewal notifications." This is on top of the common sketchy behaviour of companies sending invoices for similar domain names, hoping you will pay an exorbitant price for it.

NEVER pay a domain-related invoice if you do not recognise the company sending it. If I'm managing your domain name, invoices come from me, and the only other time it may be a legitimate communication (NOT invoice) would be if it is from Synergy Wholesale (my registrar). If you are unsure if a communication is legitimate (e.g., is this really from you / from Synergy or is it a spoof?) do not hesitate to email me to confirm.

If you have registered your domain name directly with a registrar such as VentraIP Australia, GoDaddy, or Crazy Domains, all invoices and other domain-related communications should come directly from them.
