🤖💡 Workshop Wrap‑Up: What Is AI? Understanding Artificial Intelligence for Everyday Life 💡🤖
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our What Is AI? workshop at the library. It was wonderful to see such strong interest from adults and seniors keen to better understand artificial intelligence and how it fits into everyday life.
Participants explored the world of generative AI, learning what it is, how it works, and the many practical ways it can be useful—from everyday tasks and creativity to information seeking and productivity. Just as importantly, we also discussed things to be aware of, including accuracy, privacy, and using AI safely and responsibly.
Thanks to our expert facilitator sessions sparked great conversations, thoughtful questions, and plenty of “aha” moments, showing that AI is something everyone can learn about, regardless of age or experience.
This workshop was proudly supported by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) together with the Department of Home Affairs – Social Cohesion, who are supporting libraries nationwide to deliver a diverse range of programs that help build stronger, more connected, and well‑informed communities.
