Beyerdynamic, The OG Headphone brand, pioneers for dynamic and electrostatic drivers by uncle Beyer. Plus, some info I got is that Beyerdynamic source their drivers from Tymphany, one of the best driver makers in the world, so delivering high audio quality and lasting long is something Tymphany does really well 😙 their other main customer would be Focal 😉 I doubt reviewers manage to get this info heheh

Personal experience from testing the gaming series

MMX 100: RM449.10
It's like a closed back Phillips SHP9500 with a high quality mic attached, better bass response but narrower soundstage

MMX 150: RM575.10
Very similar to MMX 100 but uses USB Type-C instead, slightly bassier

MMX 200: Coming soon
Wireless version, cannot say anything yet due to NDA 😅 next year only coming to Malaysia

MMX 300: RM1,155.06
Fuh, this is like somewhere in between the wild and clean tuning of DT770 Pro and DT700 Pro X plus the details, soundstage and imaging are superb for a closed back and very comfy with Beyerdynamic's classic velour pads

TYGR 300 R: RM750.00
This is my personal fav throughout testing, ajak member test pun semua nak beli sekali, very warm yet punchy bass, clear mids and spicy treble, wider soundstage, clearer imaging and high level of details can be heard compared even to Sennheisers the only setback this is a headphone so gamers you'll need to get a seperate mic and cable is non-detachable (Already gave feedback to Beyerdynamic)

Overall: I think Beyerdynamic gaming line is super underrated, easy to drive without any DACs/Amp (Although still benefits from using one) and I think reviewers from overseas rate them different cause of the pricing, when I look at it in MYR, it's super worth it, more than other gaming brands

Short review: I didn't really like the XM4, quite muddy the bass but the XM5 Sony fixed that tuning giving it a more balanced neutral tuning with some bass boost, can I call it audiophile level kind of sound? Moondrop Space Travel

Device: Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (AAC) with Dolby Atmos enabled
Audio source: Youtube Music, I did not use hi-res tracks as wireless just can't deliver hi-res nor the support for lossy bluetooth codecs like LDAC
Ear tips: Stock tips, didn't even change it to other sizes

But I'm a bit surprised it didn't take me long to form a review for this TWS and before you read further, I am not a big earphone fan, I'm more to a headphone kind of guy cause I do not find earphones comfortable to wear over than a few hours at a time. So I'll be judging the audio quality and connectivity only alongside considering if the price value is worth it to the factors that I find important. Battery life, mic quality to me not that important cause if I'd want to own one, I wouldn't really care about these factors, so for a more "holistic" reviews I'd encourage anyone who read this to refer to other reviewers who are more enthusiastic about IEMs or TWS in general

Connectivity:
This impressed me a lot, much like the Maxwell. With just a phone without any bluetooth DAC or any other additional component the track can still play without clipping or get disconnected as I place my phone from the back of my kitchen all the way to the front gate of my house (approximately 50 meters) with doors closed and all that.

Audio Quality:
Tonal Balance:
- Amazing overall tonality, neutral with slight bass-boosted sound signature
- Well controlled, punchy bass
- Clean, natural midrange
- Very forward vocals, my preferred artist to test vocals is Sara Bareilles and her vocals was very engaging, caught myself singing while I was trying to do critical listening
- Treble is rather smooth, not offensive, not sharp nor too bright but sub-par treble extension and airiness

Technicalities:
- Decent, not great transient response, some tracks it feels a bit "desynchronized" if I'd compare it to my more expensive headphones
- Decent imaging but rather narrow soundstage (soundstage-wise I may be more biased as I regularly use open back headphones, which obviously offers a more natural wide soundstage)

Funny thing though at first, I find the sound to be dark, almost-muddy level bass that kills the mids however this was only first impressions, the brain is usually conditioned to many bias when your ears are introduced to a new audio output device's frequency response so I let it play for the night, wake up and voila, from a dark signature to now it's pretty neutral sound signature,, but I do think there is still bass boosted but very small boost, to a regular user, you'll barely notice. Using the same songs I listened to the night before, I think that modern songs perform better than classic arias or orchestras, basically more better towards electronic-based instruments rather than string-based ones, so those who enjoy classical genre or Arias, orchestras, instrumental soundtracks I'd recommend another TWS

So considering the factors I mentioned and the price, in a score out of 5;
I'd give it a 4/5. very worth it, no wonder it keeps selling out everytime new stock comes in since the Space Travel was released. If I use Crinacle's star rating system, its a 3 Star, worth buying it blind 🤣🤣

Long (Sorry sebab memang jawapan dia tak straightforward and for those yang nak knowledge)

Amplifier is not needed when you use usually use "Lo-Fi" level headphone or even speaker jugak EXCEPT kalau Impedance/Sensitivity dia (ada formula untuk calculate) show that you need the extra "juice" to "bring out" the audio output device punya volume macam OneOdio Monitor 80 tapi just get a cheap amp cukup.
So it's a YES bila output device tu impedance/sensitivity dia perlu more "juice" to bring out the full potential of the headphone / Speakers from amplifiers without blowing out the headphone punya magnet driver 💀💀 I have a storage unit for all devices that I blew the drivers ._.

Sebelum I cakap pasal DAC you should know resolution audio quality requirement:

Compressed audio: MP3/AAC ngan bandwidth maximum 320kbps
CD Quality : 16 Bit/ 44.1-48KHz
Studio Quality : 24 Bit / 44.1-48 KHz (This quality will only increase as technology progress to higher resolution)
Hi-Res quality : 24 Bit/96 KHz atau DSD128 (maximum level biasa orang yang buat audio je perlu, 32)
DAC is a no if you don't care about listening to CD/Studio/Hi-res quality music like Spotify/Youtube.
Gaming sekarang going to transition ke Hi Res audio, now it's at studio quality MAXIMUM, dari zaman PS1 lagi game pakai CD Quality.
Nanti I post game mana yg quality audio dia tinggi semua 😆😆 prepare copium 🤣

So it's a Yes if you nak enjoy music or games yang pakai minimum CD quality (majority of AAA games actually).

Also, its a BIG YES to get DAC/Amp if you use "Mid-Fi" level headphones 🤪🤪 Most audiophiles pun stop kat Mid-Fi level, Hi-Fi level hanya kepada orang gila macam saya 🤣🤣🤣

LAST I'm sure some akan tanya kalau pakai DAC tuk compressed audio benefit tak? Yes definitely but it depends on your output device quality and your audio source file encoding method jugak, MP3 320Kbps/AAC 256Kbps I can notice some difference. The DAC does oversampling and in rare cases upsampling to the audio file, the difference is not that noticable really, kena focus betul2

After buat countless benchmark, multiple test. Cyberpunk and witcher 3 can't run... Found out the default oc feature by Aorus master Z790 causing crashes...

So for anyone having the same issue. Turn off your of manually via the Bios... Took us a few days to figure it out
