Why are Masjids getting smaller? But Bars and Night Clubs are expanding.
Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity? But very difficult to engage with Allah.

ধ্বংসস্তুপের উপর পুতুল হাতে নিয়ে চুপটি করে বসে থাকা গোলাপি পরীটার দিকে তাকিয়ে আমার চোখ ভিজে যায়, সদ্য ধ্বসে পড়া বহুতল ভবনের সামনে দাড়িয়ে হতবিহ্বল হয়ে পড়া ১০ বছর বয়সী শিশুটার কান্না বিজড়িত আর্তনাদ দেখে আমার ভেতরটা হুহু করে ওঠে। আসলেই ফিলিস্তিনি শিশুদের কোনো স্বপ্ন থাকতে নেই; না ডাক্তার হওয়ার, না ভালো মতো লেখাপড়া করার, না একটা নিরাপদ শৈশব কাটানোর। ঘুমানোর আগে তাদেরকে শাহাদাতের জন্য মানসিক প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে বিছানায় উঠতে হয়। ফিলিস্তিনি মায়েরা সন্তান জন্মই দেন শহীদজননী হওয়ার অভিলাষে।

আমাদের ফিলিস্তিনি মায়েরা-বোনেরা-ভায়েরা এক বেলা খায় তো দুই বেলা না খেয়ে থাকে, একদিন খেলে দুইদিন না-খাওয়া। তাদের কষ্ট দেখে আমার অন্তর ডুকরে কেঁদে ওঠে। মনে মনে ভাবি—‘ইশ, যদি কিছু করতে পারতাম ওদের জন্য!’ আমার চাওয়াটুকু ওই চাওয়া পর্যন্তই সীমাবদ্ধ থাকে। কারণ, সাধ-সাধ্য থাকলেও তাদের পাশে দাড়ানোর সুযোগটুকু যে নেই! এটা ভেবে আমি আরও ভেঙে পড়ি, আমার খুব কষ্ট হয় এই ভেবে—আমি আমার মাজলুম মুসলিম ভাই-বোনের জন্য কিছুই করতে পারলাম না, কিচ্ছু না! এই অপরাগতা হতাশার পাশাপাশি অপরাধবোধের বোঝা বাড়িয়ে চলে আমার কাঁধে। আমার মন আরও খারাপ হতে থাকে, আরও।

কিন্তু এবার সুযোগ এসেছে। সামান্যতম কিছু করার সুযোগ হলেও আমি পেয়েছি। এই সুযোগ কী করে ছাড়ি আমি? জান দিয়ে না পারি, অন্তত সামর্থ্যানুযায়ী কিছু অর্থ দিয়ে আমি আমার মাজলুম ফিলিস্তিনি ভাই-বোনের পাশে দাড়াতে পারি, তাদের একবেলা খাবারের বন্দোবস্তের উপলক্ষ্য হতে পারি। তার বোমাদগ্ধ গালে চুমু দিতে না পারলেও হয়ত আমার পাঠানো টাকায় কেনা ওষুধ তার কোমল গালে লেপ্টে যাবে।

ফিলিস্তিন, নোংরা দুনিয়ার বুকে বেঁচে থাকা এক টুকরো জান্নাত। এই জান্নাতি পাখিদের দিকে হাত বাড়িয়ে দিতে বুক আনচান করছে আমার। আপনার করছে না? আসুন দলে দলে ফিলিস্তিনিদের দিকে হাত বাড়াই। তাদেরকে আরও কিছু মুহূর্ত সুন্দরভাবে বাঁচতে সাহায্য করি, অভুক্ত মাসুম বাচ্চাটার এক বেলা আহারের কারণ হই, বোমাদগ্ধ-গুলিবিদ্ধ বোনের সুস্থ হয়ে ওঠার উসিলা হই। আসুন এই যুদ্ধে ফিলিস্তিনের সাথে আমরাও শরীক হই। আমাদের পবিত্রভূমিকে রক্ষার জন্য যারা জীবন দিচ্ছে, যারা পরিবার হারাচ্ছে, যারা এতিম হচ্ছে; আসুন তাদের পাশে দাড়াই।

বাংলাদেশে অবস্থিত ফিলিস্তিনি দূতাবাস গতকাল (রবিবার) থেকে গণঅনুদান তুলছে। আপনার পাঠানো সাহায্য দূতাবাসের মাধ্যমে চলে যাবে ফিলিস্তিনে।
