Every Monday, we’ll be sharing expert tips to help you and your family take care of your mental health. If you’re experiencing feelings of stress or anxiety right now, let’s take a mindful moment together to calm down:
🌱 Sit comfortably and take a deep breath – in through your nose and out through your mouth.
🌱 Let’s do that one more time: in through your nose and out through your mouth.
🌱 As you breathe out, close your eyes. Notice how your body feels.
🌱 You might feel a sense of stillness or restlessness, heaviness or lightness, or you might feel relaxed or tense.
🌱 Starting at the top of your head, scan down through your body slowly, noticing what feels comfortable and what doesn’t.
🌱 Remember, you’re not trying to change anything. You’re just noticing how your body feels in this moment.
🌱 Now, take two more deep breaths. In and out. In and out. When you are ready, open your eyes and return your attention to the present moment.
