Although this meme is not the case for every situation, the difference between boost and ad is experience.
Experienced digital marketers usually suggest placing ads on social media and other online platforms.
Because they yield better results, most of the time, depending on your objective and other factors like if you're a big business, products, target market etc.
However, marketers cannot guarantee sales but will definitely create the best circumstances for possible sales, In Shaa Allah.
But yes, if your objective of the ad is sales, then at the end of the day, ad campaigns would be judged on how many sales you close successfully.
Even then, you should not expect to bring in sales just after opening up a business and placing ads. There are other factors like brand awareness, product quality/usage, reach, finding the right consumers etc. which lead up to that perfect ad campaign that generates sales.
So next time you place an ad or appoint someone to do it for you (highly recommended for growing and established businesses because leaders should focus on business decisions and delegate accordingly for utilising that time effectively and efficiently), have enough time to set up the brand and build gradually and not expect instant returns.
