A month ago, we organized an invite only AI self-learning program at Medha Academy. For two weeks, participants explored the foundations of building AI agents and automation through peer learning. No fixed curriculum, only motivated minds working together, sharing resources, and building knowledge.

We are preparing to make this open for the public soon as the AI Agent Learning Program from Medha Academy. Stay tuned. 🚀

The phrase “If not you, who else?” rests on awareness and agency. The moment a person becomes aware of a need, injustice, or potential, that awareness generates a kind of moral responsibility. You are closer to the problem than others who remain unaware.

In Aristotelian terms, knowledge of the good carries within it the potential for action; to know and not act is to separate intellect from virtue.

Despite the abundance of educational institutions across the country, our schools and universities largely seem to be against true intellectual production. The system focuses on rote memorization and standardized tests, which contribute little to a student’s growth.

While Bangladesh has a wealth of talented individuals, the lack of unification and support keeps them neutralized. Only recently have we seen a student political uprising. This gives hope that we may be able to unite for the advancement of Philosophy, Science, Art, Culture, Literature, Technology and Innovation. We could even revive the crafts of Bengal’s Golden Age.

Another core issue of our contemporary society is “Medha Pachar” (brain drain). To demonstrate the severity with just one fact: every year, 55% of BUET graduates leave the country, never to return. Every citizen experiences the loss of talents, which, if they stayed, could dramatically improve the quality of every sector in Bangladesh.

Medha Academy promises to address these problems and manifest a socio-intellectual revolution among the youth.

They make us laugh, they make us cry... they make us think.

The textual medium can make us traverse worlds beyond our imagination simply by making us stare at words arranged in a page.

They can take us to the world of thought. Truth encrypted in fiction. Or raw truth itself. Some books are there to make you say “this author isn’t that smart”.

Knowledge can transform us in certain ways that change how we relate to ourselves; and in turn, how we relate to the external world.

At Medha Academy, we intend to revive the lost art of reading. A community of book readers based on “truth” and practical development, presented by .press. Quality over quantity.

Idea Sharing Canvas ⚜️

Every change begins at the level of ideation. On Medha Academy’s launch event “Conference of the Medhabees” we had our idea sharing canvas where people wrote about things they want to see in the world, things they want to actualize. Our Medha Academy ecosystem in diagram! It’s still growing, with more to come. We provide systems of infrastructure where people can work together and reach their individual + communal potentials: be it book reading, art, entrepreneurship, filmmaking, philosophy, graphics design, podcasting, technology, or politics.
