Job Context
The Pre-Sales Specialist will be responsible for technical solution design, product positioning, bill of materials (BOQ) preparation, and tender/RFP evaluation for the Surveillance product line. This role bridges the gap between client requirements, sales objectives, and technical implementation across corporate, government, education, and commercial sectors in Bangladesh.
Responsibilities
A. Site Surveys & Technical Field Audit:
• Conduct detailed physical and network site surveys for client premises to assess coverage areas, optimal camera placement, lens/resolution choices, network cabling routes, power distribution (PoE/UPS), and mounting conditions.
B. BOQ Preparation & System Architecture:
• Design end-to-end technical solutions and draft complete Bill of Quantities (BOQ), hardware spec sheets, compliance matrices, and System Architecture Diagrams for IP/Analog CCTV systems, NVRs/XVRs, VMS, video walls, and access control integrations.
C. Client Engagement & Technical Presentations:
• Accompany the Product Manager and sales team on key customer visits to deliver technical solution walkthroughs, address complex technical inquiries, assess site constraints, and validate project scope.
D. Partner & Vendor Coordination
• OEM Coordination: Act as the direct technical point of contact with OEM local/ regional teams for special pricing approval (SPA), engineering support, firmware/software compatibility checks, product roadmap updates, and back-to-back technical validation.
• Market Intelligence: Stay updated on global surveillance industry trends, competitor product lineups, and Bangladesh market dynamics.
E. RFP, POC & Tender Technical Compliance:
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, compliance matrices, product catalog submissions, and technical bid responses for private and public sector tenders.
• Proof of Concept (POC) & Product Demos: Configure, set up, and execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) and live demonstrations of AI analytics (Perimeter Protection, Face Recognition, ANPR, Heat Mapping) for prospective clients.
Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Telecommunications, or a relevant technical discipline from a reputed university.
Experience
• 3 to 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Computer Hardware/Network Companies, IT Enabled Service, Technical Infrastructure
Additional Requirements
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical project engineering within the IP video surveillance and security systems industry.
• Hands-on technical familiarity with Global Surveillance Technology hardware and software solutions (e.g., UG Guard, DSS Express/Pro, SmartPSS, IP Cameras, Thermal, NVRs, VMS, CMS) is highly prioritized. Strong experience with other Tier-1 surveillance brands (e.g., Lilin, Uniview, Dahua, Hikvision, Axis, Hanwha) will also be considered.
• CAD & Design Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD or 3D/2D layout design tools to create camera coverage maps and site layout plans.
• Calculations & Sizing: Demonstrated skill in accurately calculating network bandwidth consumption, storage requirements (RAID configurations, H.265+ compression ratios), power budget (PoE/PoE+), and lens focal lengths.
• Networking Mastery: Deep knowledge of IP networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, Subnetting, Routing, ONVIF standards, Switch configuration, and Fiber/Ethernet topology).
• Security Software: Hands-on expertise in deploying and configuring Video Management Software (VMS), Access Control Systems, and AI-driven video analytics.
• Communication: Excellent presentation and technical storytelling skills in both Bengali and English.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to translate complex client business needs into practical, cost-effective technical solution architectures.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel across Bangladesh for site assessments, client demos, and major deployment kickoffs.
