A glimpse of our recent SBTi Validation Workshop: Accelerating Science-Based Climate Action in Bangladesh, organized by Engineering Resources International (ERI) Ltd.

The workshop brought together brands, development organizations, group companies, industry professionals, sustainability practitioners, and factory representatives to explore practical pathways for Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions management, science-based target setting, SBTi validation, and decarbonization action planning.

We were honored to have Buddhi Paranamana, Director – Innovation | Sustainability, PDS Limited, join virtually and share PDS Limited’s SBTi validation journey with us.

We were also pleased to hear from ABM Faqrul Alam, Sustainability Lead, Urmi Group, and Ahmed Eid, Senior Manager, MIS, Masco Group, who shared their organizations’ SBTi journeys and practical experiences.

The session also highlighted RTIS, our internal digital platform, recognized for supporting climate data management and SBTi data readiness.

As part of the workshop, PDS Limited, Urmi Group, and Masco Group were recognized for achieving SBTi validation with our technical support.

We were pleased to participate in the recent roundtable discussion hosted by Textile Focus on “Renewable Energy Transition in the Bangladesh Textile Sector” at Club Notredamians Bangladesh Ltd.

Representing our team, Shubhra Chanda, Head of Decarbonization, joined industry stakeholders, textile factory representatives, and Solar EPC experts to discuss the growing importance of renewable energy adoption in Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector.

As global brand requirements around decarbonization, Science-Based Targets (SBTi), and net-zero commitments continue to accelerate, renewable energy is becoming a strategic priority for manufacturers aiming to remain competitive, compliant, and future-ready.

The discussion highlighted practical pathways for local industries, with a strong focus on rooftop solar, EPC partnerships, and scalable renewable energy solutions that can support measurable emission reduction across the supply chain.

We remain committed to supporting industries with credible decarbonization strategies, renewable energy transition planning, and practical implementation support to help build a cleaner, more resilient, and low-carbon textile sector in Bangladesh.

This edition of GreenLens highlights SCS, IRI, and ERI’s continued efforts in advancing science-based climate action, renewable energy transition, resource efficiency, team development, and industry transformation.

Key highlights include ERI’s successful organization of the SBTi Validation Workshop: Accelerating Science-Based Climate Action in Bangladesh, held on 17 June 2026 at KIBC Training Room, Dhaka. The workshop focused on Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, SBTi target setting, validation requirements, and practical decarbonization planning. A key highlight was the experience-sharing session, where Buddhi Paranamana, Director, PDS Limited, joined virtually and shared PDS Limited’s SBTi validation journey with ERI’s support. Representatives from Urmi Group and Masco Group also shared their experiences and appreciated ERI’s technical guidance and coordination. Appreciation Crests were presented to PDS Limited, Urmi Group, and Masco Group in recognition of their successful SBTi validation.

This edition also features SCS, IRI, and ERI’s participation in the EPB/GIZ NEXUS PRO Results Dissemination Event, where discussions focused on resource efficiency, self-monitoring, regulatory readiness, and competitiveness in the textile and apparel sector.

Another highlight is Annual Picnic 2026: The Green Journey at Cox’s Bazar, celebrating teamwork, positive workplace culture, and shared values among ERI, IRI, and SCS.

The issue also covers ERI’s participation in the Renewable Energy Transition Roundtable hosted by Textile Focus, where industry stakeholders discussed rooftop solar, EPC partnerships, and green energy integration for Bangladesh’s textile sector.

In addition, this edition celebrates our developer team’s achievement in completing the B-TopSE Basic Series Program, strengthening in-house capacity in software architecture, distributed systems, agile methodology, and artificial intelligence.

🌿 Day 2 Glimpses | Annual Picnic 2026 — The Green Journey 🌊

Day 2 began with a delightful buffet breakfast at Sea Pearl, followed by a memorable group photo session with our MD & CEO.

Afterwards, the team started an exciting journey toward Zero Point by Chander Gari, enjoying the scenic beauty of Cox’s Bazar and several beautiful beaches along the way. The day was filled with engaging outdoor activities, including beach football and fun team challenges, followed by lunch and some refreshing time back at the hotel.

In the evening, we gathered for dinner, followed by a lively pillow passing game, raffle draw, and prize-giving ceremony for the game and raffle winners.

The day concluded with an inspiring session from our MD & CEO, where he shared strategic business direction, future vision, and words of encouragement for the team.

A day filled with energy, togetherness, inspiration, and unforgettable memories. ✨

Day 1 began with our check-in at Sea Pearl, followed by a refreshing and fun-filled time at the water park.

The day became even more special as our MD & CEO joined us for lunch, giving the team a wonderful opportunity to connect and spend quality time together.

Later, we enjoyed a lively Ping Pong Cup Challenge, followed by dinner and meaningful conversations — making the day full of laughter, bonding, and memorable moments.
