We had a very different kind of session yesterday. Engineers, designers, and business teams showed their bibliophile side in an afternoon of nerding out about books. Fantasy, horror, comics, romance, thriller, as long as you're into reading culture, you had a place there.

A custom-made zine, put together by people who simply wanted to, topped things off as the perfect memorabilia from the day.

AI has raised the bar for software engineers. Writing code is no longer enough, engineers now need to think like system designers and communicate in trade-offs.

To help our engineers improve their structured thinking, we ran a 3-part "How to Think as a Solution Architect" session. Participants worked through real-world case studies on solution design and architectural thinking, then presented their own approach through interactive discussions.

This is part of our initiatives to keep our engineers ahead of how AI is evolving software engineering.

But our goal wasn't just to test students on VLSI. The semiconductor industry is growing rapidly in Bangladesh, and the next generation of engineers need to be ready for it. Our EDA engineer hosted a session, giving them practical guidance on the skills and mindset this space demands. Our CEO also joined from the US to share his experience and have an open conversation with the young engineers.

What started as a focused engagement between DSi and Black Duck has grown into full involvement across their product lifecycle. And over 2+ years, we've completely modernized their legacy system.

AI-generated code and open source make up 70-90% of most software companies' codebases. Black Duck needed a platform that could scan at enterprise scale, catch risks in real time, and enforce compliance without slowing teams down.

DSi's QA and enterprise engineering team embedded directly within Black Duck's product org, working as an extension of their team. Here's what we did:
→ Worked across a multi-language codebase with the QA rigor an application security product demands.
→ Integrated seamlessly into six DevOps toolchains, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitLab so Black Duck's customers could scan for security in any workflow.
→ Built and maintained test automation with Cypress, Selenium, and REST Assured, validating every code change before production.
→ Shifted testing left, catching issues earlier, cutting remediation costs, and shipping features faster with confidence.
