Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain backend APIs using Next.js (App Router, API Routes, Server Actions).
• Design and optimize Firestore database structures for performance and scalability.
• Implement Clerk Authentication
• Build and manage Cloud Functions for server-side logic and automation.
• Ensure security best practices (data validation, role-based access, authentication flows).
• Optimize backend processes for speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to create seamless APIs and integrations.
Requirements
✅ 1+ years of experience in backend development.
✅ Strong expertise in Next.js (API Routes, Middleware, Server Actions).
✅ Hands-on experience with Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Storage, Functions, Hosting).
✅ Strong knowledge of Node.js, Express.js, and server-side logic.
✅ Experience with TypeScript and writing maintainable, scalable code.
✅ Understanding of database indexing, security rules, and Firestore query optimizations.
✅ Experience with background jobs and task scheduling in Firebase.
✅ Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment strategies.
✅ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Nice-to-Have
🔹 Implement real-time features using Firestore listeners and WebSockets.
🔹 Experience with REST API best practices.
🔹 Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).
🔹 Experience with Redis, Pub/Sub, or other event-driven architectures.
🔹 Familiarity with third-party API integrations (Stripe, Twilio, etc.).
