Open source responded immediately:

watermarks-remover.

A new repo designed to strip multiple types of AI provenance marks across ecosystems including Claude, Gemini and OpenAI.

It can tackle:

→ Invisible Unicode characters
→ C2PA / EXIF / XMP metadata
→ Document properties
→ Statistical text watermarks through rewriting

And it works across PNG, JPEG, PDF, DOCX, HTML, Markdown and more.

The cat-and-mouse game between AI provenance and watermark removal has officially started.

And open source moves ridiculously fast.

The first question that comes to mind when thinking about running a local AI agent is: which model should I run?

This question is what stops many people. Which one is right for my hardware? Is there enough RAM? Will I need a GPU or a CPU?

"Magnitude" has solved this whole problem!

When you run it for the first time, it automatically diagnoses your hardware and finds out its capabilities, then suggests the most optimal models for you. All you have to do is choose!

I was really surprised to see that it can be set up with a single npm command... no complicated configuration, no API key, no data going to the cloud, wow!

I have never seen an easier way to run an AI agent on a local machine.

From the day I started using PhpStorm, I almost forgot about all the other editors.

The reason for this was the powerful language server in PhpStorm, which was not available in any other editor. Even if it was, I would not have gotten that much performance. Being a WordPress developer, my productivity increased a lot at that time.

So now, even though plain text editors are popular, I have to struggle with PHP support. For example, even after installing the PHP Intelephense extension, VS Code is not that fun and slow.

To solve this and almost PHPStorm, a new language server with all the features of the built-in language server is PHPantom.

It is a PHP language server built with Rust. Fast, open source, requires less memory and is supported by all editors. Not only that, it has official support in Claude and OpenCode which is a game changer.

Interestingly, this one has built-in Laravel support. Which is actually a great thing.

PHPantom is new to the market but it is going to be a great thing for PHP developers.

We used to use Electron to build desktop applications. Electron bundles the entire Chromium with the Bundle, which makes it impossible to reduce the bundle size. Tauri comes to solve this problem. Instead of bundling the entire Chromium, Tauri uses the system WebView, which reduces the bundle size from hundreds of megabytes to just a few kilobytes.

Deno 2.9 release adds the ability to build desktop apps. The technology here is exactly the same as Tauri but in Deno's style.

Now it's easy to build desktop apps with Deno, and at the same time, all the powerful features/APIs of Deno can be used together in a desktop app.
