Unifly nv, in cooperation with , has successfully completed SecureUTM 2 Phase I under the European Space Agency’s NAVISP programme, laying the foundation for certification-aligned and risk-driven cybersecurity in UTM and U-space services across Europe 🌍 🔒

As drone operations scale and integrate into increasingly complex airspace, cybersecurity becomes mission-critical. This project delivers a structured and forward-looking approach to building secure, resilient, and scalable U-space ecosystems.

Key highlights:
🔹 Refined harmonised Protection Profile for UTM
🔹Updated Security Target for the Unifly platform
🔹Structured risk assessment and certification-aligned gap analysis
🔹Secure architectural baseline for real-world U-space complexity
🔹Proof-of-concept testbed for GNSS and PNT threat validation

The project also validated layered mitigation strategies against GNSS jamming and spoofing, supporting future EU cybersecurity certification readiness and reinforcing Belgium’s U-space deployment ambitions.

🚀 From BVLOS trials to thousands of real operations: the Port of Antwerp-Bruges is setting the pace for safe, scalable drone deployment in one of Europe’s most complex environments.

Unifly nv and SkeyDrone have released a major UTM platform upgrade for the PoAB DronePortal, strengthening operational safety and making the platform more intuitive for daily users.

📊 PoAB drone ecosystem:
• 250 registered operators
• 13,483 operations created | 7,665 performed
• 27,621 permission requests approved
• 2,371 BVLOS operations performed

This release adds improved airspace/obstacle information, clearer geozones + map layers, better on-screen guidance, refreshed visuals, and an expanded help environment.

🚀 Advancing Detect-and-Avoid for Safe Drone Integration

Unifly nv has successfully concluded its contribution to the Federal Aviation Administration-sponsored ASSURE A68 research project, a major step toward validating detect-and-avoid (DAA) well-clear requirements for small UAS.

As part of UTM Services Field Testing, Unifly provided UTM services supporting simulation and flight tests, integrating surveillance data such as ADS-B, radar, cellular telemetry, and Remote ID.
