Lux Lumen worked on the lighting for the new RTL Nieuws studio in the Netherlands, where the focus shifted towards a more interactive and warmer environment.
By combining thoughtful lighting with richer materials and a refined lighting approach, the studio creates a stronger sense of connection for viewers at home. The result is a space that feels more human, more inviting, and closer to the stories being told.
A key element of the project was the integration of the decor design, developed as a fully assembled set concept. Extensive use of LED lines and custom LED control systems was implemented throughout, carefully adapted to work seamlessly with the green key environment. The studio features full green key walls, with LED lines subtly integrated into curved structures, creating a dynamic and immersive visual flow.
The green key setup itself was treated as an active element in the design. Precise measurement of the green wavelength ensured perfect calibration, with custom-printed fabric tailored to achieve optimal results on camera.
