Meet the students supporting our team this summer. ☀️

This summer, our student workers are supporting Out of Use’s day-to-day ITAD operations. They test TVMs, adapters and docking stations, clean laptops, sort RAM for resale or recycling, and much more.

Our reuse operator Niels (in the middle of the picture) guides them throughout these activities, making sure they learn the ins and outs of the job along the way.

Thank you Nand, Federico, Michiel & Svyatoslav (pictured here) for your dedication, enthusiasm and valuable support this summer!

And a big thank you to Hanne, Rune, Matthis, Arnout, Corneel & Matisse, who aren’t in the picture but are also enthusiastically supporting our team this summer.

Today, Lidwina vzw, one of the social enterprises that Out of Use has proudly partnered with for many years, opens its doors to the public. 🤝

Together, we work every day towards a more sustainable approach to IT reuse. The team at Lidwina supports several steps in our process, including the careful dismantling of electronic equipment. This enables valuable components to be reused, while the remaining materials are recovered and recycled responsibly.

In this way, they play an important role in extending the lifespan of IT equipment and supporting the transition to a circular economy.

We're delighted to showcase their work during today's open day! You can still visit until 6:30 PM this evening at the Lidwina campus, Postelarenweg 213, Mol.

10 years of partnership for more nature 🌳

For the past 10 years, Out of Use has been working together with Natuurpunt towards a greener future. Thanks to this partnership, more than 250,000 m² of additional forest has been created in Flanders. An achievement we are incredibly proud of.

Together, we make an impact. Here's to many more years of creating new forests and restoring nature! 🌱

Update: there are now more than 25,000 bees living in our beehive! 🐝

When we first set them up, there were only about 10,000. Today, that number has more than doubled. With a single queen laying around 1,500 eggs every day, things are moving fast.

But what fascinates us most?

In just a few weeks, those tiny bees have:
• made over 100,000 flights
• visited millions of flowers
• and collected at least 5 kg of nectar

Quite impressive for such tiny creatures.

This wonderful initiative was made possible by De Honingmijn 🍯 For us at Out of Use, this is more than ‘just a beehive’. It’s a reminder of just how big an impact you can make when you make space for nature.
