On the road with 🧡

The Orange Digital Center team kicked things off yesterday at Ikhutseng Primary in Francistown, and touched down at Setlalekgosi CJSS this morning, bringing the conversation on safe and responsible digital connectivity straight to the learners. Currently at Mahube Primary, with Selolwe JSS rounding off the day.

The countdown is on, tomorrow is Day, and the excitement is building as we get ready to bring the community together. Empowering communities, one school at a time.

Tomorrow, we come together for Day, creating space for young people to learn, play, and have important conversations about navigating the digital world safely.

While he may not be with us in person, Orange Botswana Brand Ambassador, Ntungamili Raguin, has a special message for the kiddos. From being kind online and speaking up against cyberbullying to finding a healthy balance beyond our screens, every connection matters.

Here’s a message from Ntunga to his hometown. 🧡

AI isn’t the future of business. It’s already changing the game.

Today, we wrapped up our AI Fluency for Small Businesses training, delivered in partnership with Common Code Foundation and BUAN University.

From tuck shops and salons to farms and Mmaskhukhu, AI can help Botswana’s small businesses:
-Save valuable time
-Serve customers better
-Work smarter and more efficiently
-Stay competitive in a rapidly changing digital world

The question is no longer “Will AI affect my business?”
It’s “Am I using AI effectively, efficiently, ethically and safely?”

AI fluency isn’t a someday skill. It’s a NOW skill.

Proud of everyone who showed up, learned, questioned, and reimagined what’s possible for their businesses.

Your business doesn’t need to wait for the future. Start building it today.

Excellence isn't a finish line, it's a standard you choose every single day. 🙌

This week's word is Excellence, and it shows up in the small things, showing up prepared, doing the work, pushing a little further.

At Orange Digital Center, we challenge every learner, creator, and entrepreneur to bring their best. How do you push yourself to be excellent? Let us know 💬

The Future Starts Young.

Every school holiday, the ODC's Supercodeurs programme opens its doors to young minds ready to explore technology, design and hands-on learning, in a way that feels like play. Sketching, shaping, building with their hands before they ever touch a keyboard.

Leano is one of them. He remembers the moment it clicked: the small thrill of watching ideas form and land through Scratch, all the way to building his own version of web apps, made by him, and others like him, from learning to doing.

This is one of many stories, the same spark that's been lighting up young minds all programme long: the confidence to learn, to create, spark curiosity and to turn ideas into something real. Because when we give young minds the right skills today, we help them build the future tomorrow.

Here's Leano, telling it for all of. Watch his story.

Being online should be fun, empowering and safe. 📱🧡

But knowing how to recognise online risks, deal with cyberbullying and create a healthy balance with screen time is something we all need to learn.

For young people, parents and everyone who plays a role in their lives, digital safety is a shared responsibility.

Let’s create better, safer connections.
