Stage 2 Transformations on the Dyno! 📈🚜🔥
More power, massive torque gains, and cleaner engines.
We had these Land Cruisers on the dyno for full Stage 2 packages featuring bolt-on De Graaf exhaust systems, custom ECU calibration, full EGR deletes, and aggressive hardcut rev limiters.
The 4.5 V8 arrived running an aftermarket chip that was choking the motor and losing power. We stripped it out, fitted proper hardware, and built a true custom dyno tune from the ground up.
The Dyno Gains:
Toyota Land Cruiser 4.5 V8 D-4D (Stage 2 + De Graaf)
• Power: 153.1 kW ➔ 173.8 kW (+20.7 kW gain)
• Torque: 426.0 Nm ➔ 600.2 Nm @ 2,489 RPM
• 💥 +174.2 Nm (+40.9% Torque Increase!)
Toyota Land Cruiser 2.8 GD-6 (Stage 2 + De Graaf)
• Power: 156.0 kW ➔ 167.5 kW (+11.5 kW gain)
• Torque: 497.6 Nm ➔ 645.1 Nm @ 1,917 RPM
• 💥 +147.5 Nm (+29.6% Torque Increase!)
The Upgrades & Highlights:
• 2.8 GD-6 Auto Trans & Speed Tune: Speed limiter removed, plus a full TCU remap. Faster shifts, zero gear hunting on inclines, better torque converter lock-up for towing, and lower gearbox temps.
• De Graaf Exhausts: Relieves backpressure, drops EGTs, and lets the turbos spool effortlessly.
• EGR Deletes: Stops soot recirculating into the intake and oil, extending engine life.
• Hardcut Limiters: Programmed directly into fuel cut logic for sharp rpm control.
• Tuning That Pays for Itself: Massive low-down torque means less throttle input to haul heavy loads and effortless cruising without downshifting.
