You’ve probably heard by now that The Tech Forge is moving—and some of you may already know where! But if you missed our other post or have been waiting for the official announcement, here it is:

📍 We’re moving into the old Fields building, along with two other businesses! You’ll find The Tech Forge on the right-hand side when you walk in.

We’re extremely excited! 🎉 We still have a lot of work ahead of us, so we won’t be holding our grand reopening event quite yet—but we will officially begin operating from the new location on September 1st!

🚨 BIG NEWS, BARRHEAD! 🚨

It’s official—THE TECH FORGE IS MOVING! 🎉🔧📱

This September, we’ll be opening the doors to a much bigger location on Main Street! This move means more room for repairs, Rogers, Fido and Chatr services, a larger selection of tech products—and some exciting new product lines that we can’t wait to reveal! 👀

This is a huge step forward for The Tech Forge, and I’m incredibly excited about what the new space will allow us to bring to Barrhead and the surrounding area. 🚀

There’s plenty of work to do before opening day, but I’ll be sharing progress pictures, behind-the-scenes updates and sneak peeks as everything comes together!

Heritage Day Update!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by this morning! We really appreciate the support.

We’ll be closing at 1:00 PM today so we can spend some time with our families and enjoy the holiday.

Over the past year, you've helped us grow far beyond what we ever imagined. Every repair, every purchase, every recommendation, and every kind word has helped make this possible.

Because of your incredible support, we're preparing for what could be the biggest milestone in The Tech Forge's history.

MYTH #1: Closing all your apps makes your phone faster.

❌ False!

Many people think swiping away every app will speed up their phone or save battery. In reality, modern iPhones and Android phones are designed to manage apps automatically.

Force closing apps all the time can actually use more battery because your phone has to completely reload them the next time you open them.

Instead, try these tips:

✅ Restart your phone every week or two.
✅ Keep at least 10-20% of your storage free.
✅ Keep your phone updated.
✅ Replace a worn-out battery instead of replacing the whole phone.

Before you replace it... bring it in.

Every week we see phones, computers, tablets, and gaming consoles that people thought were beyond repair.

Sometimes it's just a bad battery.
Sometimes it's a charging port full of lint.
Sometimes it's a simple software issue.

We've even had customers come in ready to spend hundreds—or even thousands—on a replacement, only to leave with a repair that cost a fraction of that.

It's been a busy few weeks at The Tech Forge!

Between repairing phones, computers, tablets, transferring data, setting up new devices, and even doing some custom 3D printing, we've barely had a chance to catch our breath.

One thing that will never change, though, is how we treat our customers.

We don't believe in selling people things they don't need. If your device can be repaired instead of replaced, we'll tell you. If there's a cheaper option, we'll tell you that too.

We'd rather earn your trust than make one extra sale.

Thank you to everyone in Barrhead and the surrounding communities for continuing to support a local business. We truly appreciate every person who walks through our doors.
