Azorus CRM is now integrated with Osiris in the Netherlands!

Azorus CRM is proud to announce the successful completion of its integration with Utrecht University’s (UU) Student Information System, Osiris. Developed in close collaboration with the university, the integration is now live and fully operational in production. Osiris, developed by CACI bv, is the leading Student Information System (SIS) for higher education in the Netherlands. It is used by over half of all higher education institutions and students in the Netherlands.

What does this mean for Utrecht University?
• The new integration provides a seamless daily sync of student application data directly into Azorus CRM.
• The CRM system has powerful segmentation and filtering capabilities, allowing university admins to easily reach prospective students and applicants with the right message at the right time.
• Utilising the unique CRM User Journeys in the system, key application milestones are tracked through defined statuses. This provides precise targeting, improves the relevance and timeliness of communications, and offers clear visibility into each applicant’s progression.
• The integration is designed with flexibility and ease of maintenance in mind. Data fields can be added or removed as needed, and transfer frequency can be adjusted, from hourly to daily or weekly, allowing UU to adapt quickly as requirements evolve.

An ‘out-of-the-box’ integration for Dutch universities

Because the integration has been standardised, any institution using Osiris can deploy it rapidly, whether they are looking to add a CRM system for the first time or replace a system that currently lacks an Osiris connection. The Azorus CRM system supports both API-based connectivity for real-time data exchange and SFTP-based transfers for secure, scheduled file delivery.

What’s next?

With the Osiris integration now in place, Azorus CRM can easily incorporate multiple additional data sources. This integration lays the groundwork to extend the CRM system’s capabilities and deliver more connected, personalised experiences for prospective students and applicants, as well as for current students and other key audiences important to the institution.

We are very pleased to announce a brand-new initiative designed to bring our clients even closer together, and closer to the insights that matter most. The new ACC Events are focused, peer-led gatherings where Azorus clients can connect, share experiences, and walk away with practical, real-world best practices they can act on immediately.

How it works:
- Two short presentations from Azorus CRM clients to set the stage
- Open, structured discussion among clients - what works, what doesn't, best practices, and actions worth taking
- A focused topic to keep the conversation sharp and valuable

Today we kicked off with a UK-centred event on Clearing (one of the most critical and fast-moving periods in the academic calendar) and it was a great success!

Anyone who has attended one of our annual User Groups knows what happens when clients get together... the candid conversations, the shared questions, the unexpected solutions. Today was no different. :)

This week we held our annual UK User Group, hosted by our long-term client, the University of Leicester. A big thank you to the Leicester team for welcoming us once again and helping make the day such a success. Our annual User Group meetings always provide valuable client input, ensuring our product roadmap aligns with what universities actually need.

It was fantastic to see so many of our UK clients in one room, our largest turnout yet, with really great discussions, engaging PechaKucha sessions, and plenty of ideas shared around innovation and the future of student engagement.

We also had the pleasure of marking a special milestone: Richard Scothern’s 10-year anniversary with Azorus. Richard has been instrumental in supporting our clients and helping shape our exceptional reputation in the higher education sector. Congratulations and thank you Richard, on an incredible ten years!

And of course, a big thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and at the social on Tuesday evening. We’re already looking ahead to next year, but not before our European User Group in January, kindly being hosted by Lund University in Sweden.

We’re thrilled to be heading to the University of Groningen in the Netherlands this week for our annual EU User Group. Following the success of our UK User Group hosted by the University of Warwick at the end of 2024, we are excited to reconnect with all our EU clients. This event provides a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our shared achievements over the past year and, more importantly, to discuss the exciting new initiatives we have planned for 2025. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the User Group Social on Wednesday before diving into the main sessions on Thursday!

The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) has successfully implemented the Azorus CRM system in only five weeks, shattering the common perception that deploying a CRM system in higher education is a lengthy and costly process. Within just five weeks from the initial implementation meeting, Azorus delivered a fully operational live site for the world-renowned institution.

It's so impressive to see some of our clients using our system in ways that we never thought of or even could imagine. Take for instance this particular project at the University of Warwick, The National Scientific Thinking Challenge. Richard Harrison, Digital Platform and Channel Manager talked about it when we asked him a question about our product. It’s such an inspirational project! We are most happy that we were able to help them scale it to the level it is now at.

Richard, what is a problem that you have solved creatively using Azorus, that perhaps you did not know you could?
"A non-student recruitment project I’m particularly proud of is the National Scientific Thinking Challenge. This is a project to allow schools to anonymously enter pupils for an online science challenge which ranks them along with other pupils across state and public schools, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate they are in the top 10% despite their academic and social backgrounds. Thanks to the flexibility of Azorus, we use the system to promote, register and record scores, then we generate tens of thousands of personalized PDF certificates to automatically send to teachers, a task that was wholly manual and incredibly time consuming a couple of years ago. This year we’ve increased from an original 2,000 pupils to an expected 28,000 and this incredible result would not have been possible without Azorus."

Azorus CRM expands to Sweden!
We are very pleased to announce that we are live at our first client in Sweden, Uppsala University! And that includes our integration with NyA, the Swedish central student admissions system.
Our software engineers purpose-built the integration to NyAOpen and it went into production earlier this month. This unique integration will enable Uppsala University to provide a better experience for prospective students and applicants on their journey to enrolment.
Our Client Care Manager Richard Scothern visited the team at Uppsala recently to help them with training and set up. It was a most enjoyable experience for all.
We feel very fortunate to be able to partner with Uppsala University, one of the finest universities in Sweden and among the top 100 in the world.
We look forward to building a long-lasting relationship with the fantastic team there, ensuring their new student recruitment CRM experience will be an easy and successful one.
