I LOVE a thoughtfully named service or package. Truly. ✨

But here’s one little thing I always keep in mind when working on a client’s website:

The words that feel meaningful to us as business owners aren’t always the words someone types into Google.

Your potential client might not know what your signature package is called yet.

She just knows she’s looking for a photographer, a doula, a designer, a therapist, or whatever wonderful thing you offer.

So while there’s absolutely room for personality in your website copy, make sure the everyday language is there, too.

We want people to find you AND fall in love with your brand once they arrive. 🪴

Can we talk about how lovely it is to work with a small business where you actually know the person behind it? ☕️

The person who answers your emails. Remembers your story. Gets genuinely excited about your project. Cares about all those little details that might go unnoticed somewhere bigger.

I think sometimes, as small business owners, we get so caught up in wanting to look established that we forget how much of our value comes from being exactly who we are.

And don’t get me wrong — I LOVE a polished, professional brand. ✨

But I don’t think that has to mean stripping away all the personality that makes your business yours.

Your warmth, your perspective, your story, the way you work with people... those things matter.

And they’re often exactly what helps someone feel like they’ve found the right person.

A little reminder that your business doesn’t need to pretend to be something bigger to be worthy of being chosen. 🪴

If there’s one thing to know about Diana, it’s that she doesn’t fit neatly into a box. Optometrist, entrepreneur, leader, author, speaker… and someone with no shortage of stories to tell (or fabulous glasses to wear!). 💃

🎨 The vision? To bring all those different sides of her together into one cohesive online home. Something sophisticated and professional, but still colourful, expressive, and unmistakably Diana.

One of those little website details that's SO easy to overlook when you're building your own site. 👀

You know exactly where everything lives because, well, you put it there.

But someone visiting for the first time?

They shouldn't have to hunt around to figure out how to work with you.

A clear button in your navigation, a thoughtful invitation after your services, or a simple contact link in the right place can make the whole experience feel easier.

Nothing fancy. Just good, thoughtful design. 🌿

I have such a soft spot for the websites people build when they’re first starting their businesses. 🪴

Because I know how much goes into simply getting something out into the world when you’re figuring everything out for the first time.

And honestly? That first website might have been exactly what you needed at the time.

But something I’ve noticed working with small business owners is how much can change in just a year or two.

You get clearer on your services. You find the clients you really love working with. You start charging differently. You become more confident in what you bring to the table.

And one day you look at your website and realize... it doesn’t quite feel like you anymore.

I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

I think it’s a pretty wonderful sign of how far you’ve come. ✨

Your website doesn’t have to stay where your business started.

And if you’ve been feeling that little disconnect lately, maybe it’s worth exploring what the next version could look like. 🌿

A little reminder from one small business owner to another...
You can just…do things because you enjoy them. 💖

Take the walk.
Read the book.
Try the new coffee shop.
Book the trip.
Spend an afternoon doing something wildly unproductive.

You don’t have to turn it into content or networking or inspiration or some clever business takeaway.

Sometimes a walk can just be a really nice walk.

Anyway, Happy Sunday. ☺️ Here’s your permission slip to do something that doesn’t need to be useful. 🫶

I went into business for myself because I wanted more freedom in my life.

Which makes it slightly ironic how easy it is to become the person who never stops working. 🙈

I’m still learning this one. Partly because I absolutely adore my clients and genuinely love getting to spend my days working on their websites, brands, and strategy. And partly because I get to use my creativity and strategic brain to solve problems that are, honestly, just really fun for me to solve. 🤓

So sometimes it’s hard to put it down.

There are seasons where my business gets a LOT of me. And there are seasons where I want to close the laptop, go somewhere, take the afternoon off, or just have a life that has absolutely nothing to do with Endeavor.

I want there to be room for both.

A business I care deeply about. And a life I don’t need a vacation from.

I’m still figuring out what that balance looks like for me, and I have a feeling it’ll keep changing as my business does.

I’ve been thinking about success this week. Or maybe... the way we talk about success. 🌿

Sometimes, it feels like every business conversation online is about doing more... whether it’s more launches, gaining more followers, increasing revenue, or more productivity.

And don’t get me wrong... I absolutely love seeing people build businesses they’re proud of and that move the needle towards their goals!

But lately I’ve been wondering... When did “doing well” become the same thing as “being busy” and “achieving more”, all the time?

Some of my favourite business owners aren’t the busiest people I know.

They’re the ones who’ve built businesses that still leave room for coffee on the deck, long walks, dinners with friends, or taking a Tuesday afternoon off just because the weather is beautiful. ☕️🌲

That version of success attracts me in a way that “more” just ... can’t. I’d love to work to redefine what “success” today truly looks like.
