A neat thing about humans is the more of us there are, the more diversity. The fact that trans people exist is super cool imo, and I’m proud to be nonbinary. Sometimes it feels like I won the gender lottery ✨

Today is Trans Day of Visibility, a day to celebrate that diversity, as well as recognize the challenges trans folks are still up against. Most of all, today is about showing our friends and allies how we want you to see us!

As I type this, 2SLGBTQ+ identities are under political attack. Lawmakers are targeting everything from free speech and expression to education and healthcare. In so many ways, our rights are heading in the wrong direction, and it’s making the world more dangerous for for people.

Allies, this is for you, so when you find yourself in conversations with folks unfamiliar with trans issues you feel empowered to speak up. These bills work to erase trans and q***r identities, and while most of them will fail to pass into law, the hateful rhetoric is making it harder for 2SLGBTQ+ to see a future for themselves.

Life is hard enough. Stand with your trans pals and let them know - you’re with them 💪🏳️⚧️
