Step 4 of the Greentec Proven Process - Electronics Recycling, focuses on secure destruction, minimizing environmental impact and maximizing value recovery.

Once the assets have been audited, tested, and sanitized, they fall into one of two outcomes:

• Refurbish and reuse
• Responsible electronics recycling through Greentec's R2v3 certified processes

If recycling is the final destination, hazards are removed and valuable components are recovered.

R2v3 (Responsible Recycling Standard Version 3) is the globally recognized certification for IT Asset Disposition companies, setting rigorous standards for responsible electronics reuse, recycling, environmental protection, worker health and safety, and downstream accountability.

Last weekend, the Greentec team and their families put Earth Day into action and planted a microforest in partnership with Sustainable Waterloo Region, bringing new life to Blair Road Public School in Cambridge.

After a renovation to the student drop-off area to improve safety, the existing trees and shrubs were removed. By planting a microforest in the newly renovated space we are helping restore green space that will benefit students, staff, families, and the planet for years to come.
