Oakridge Woodcrafts

Oakridge Woodcrafts I design and create an eclectic group of
wood products. They are mainly rustic decor, vintage hand p Since I was a teenager, I’ve had a constant need to create.

As a professional artist and craftsman I have always enjoyed getting away from my easel and spending some relaxing time in my wood shop. Whether it’s a commissioned painting, graphic design, residential design and drafting, vintage signs or crafting unique and sometimes obscure creations out of wood, I can’t seem to get enough. I’m always up for a challenge. As one close friend asked me a few year

s back, “ is there anything you can’t make out of wood?”... my response was “I don’t know ...what are you looking for.” That led to a replica WW 2 German machine gun , the MG 42. That one plus an Browning 50 cal replica ended up with an invite to showcase them at a gun show. I’ve always got something on the drawing board and am passionate about building long lasting, quality items.

These are made on my lathe. They are shaped, sanded, burnished silky smooth with wood shavings and then rubbed with beeswax. They will be for sale at Fort Steele Heritage Town in the East Kootenays. Fun to make.
