It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our founder, Kevin Joseph McDonald, who passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at the age of 93.
Kevin founded Computers & Communications Ltd. (MIC Systems) in 1983 with determination, vision, and an incredible work ethic. Long before technology was commonplace in Newfoundland & Labrador businesses, he was helping companies modernize, building systems, sourcing equipment, and finding solutions when others couldn’t. If something was needed, Kevin would find it somewhere, somehow. But to us, he was more than a founder and businessman. He was a father, a mentor, and the foundation this company was built upon. His values of hard work, integrity, resourcefulness, and loyalty shaped not only the business, but the people within it. Those principles continue to guide us every single day. Kevin believed in earning trust, standing behind your word, and taking care of your customers and your family. That belief remains at the heart of our company today. Thank you, Kevin, for your vision, your strength, and the legacy you leave behind both in business and in family. Your impact will continue for generations.
