There are tons of great solutions out there, so when we see Denon and Marantz Official teaming up to dominate a list of the year's best AVRs, we just have to share it.

What Hi-Fi?'s recent list of top amplifiers is out, with Denon's AVR-X2800H getting "Best Budget" amp, while the X6800H was named "Best Premium" amp. It should serve as absolutely no surprise that the Marantz CINEMA30 was named "Best High End" AVR for being "Smooth, refined and always in control".

As if all of that wasn't enough, Denon's powerhouse AVC-A1H and Denon AVR-X2900H were among the honourable mentions.

Yes, there are indeed many great solutions out there but let's just say that we're happy to have Denon and Marantz in our portfolio.

One team, separated by hundreds of kilometres, with more teammates spread over the western parts of a very, very big country.

Getting everyone together under the same roof is a rare occurrence. But when it happens, it feels more like a holiday than a work function - what a good "problem" for Philippe to have.

This past weekend our entire team gathered at the Novotel Montréal Aéroport hotel to get connected, aligned and pumped for the amazing opportunities that we've positioned ourselves to seize. And we know we're ready - beyond the great presentations from Phil, Karem, Robert, Scott and Kyle, and the fun & frantic team building workshops hosted by Winwaiv's Jeremy and Tom, we loaded up on so many calories that we're good to run at full speed for the next decade or two.

While the weekend was spent in productive meetings, the group dinners are what made the weekend pass by in a blur. From soaking in the uniquely private atmosphere at Monsieur Mi, to the boisterous vibes of Jack Astor's, to the award winning Smoke Meat Pete, our team maxed out the entire weekend - celebrating milestones, birthdays, and an upcoming 2027 that will certainly be one to remember.

Let the Canadian industry be on notice - Sherpa is hungry (figuratively - we're still stuffed from the weekend), and positioned to cement itself as Canada's trusted CI distributor from coast to coast!

This weekend, audiophiles in the GTA and beyond are invited to visit the best the industry has to offer at Toronto AudioFest EarVana! Taking place at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre, audio enthusiasts of all stripes are invited to get hands-on with some of our exceptional brands including Bowers & Wilkins, Marantz Official, Denon, and JVCKENWOOD Canada Inc.

And, as you can tell from the images, an incredible cameo from McLaren! This is an event not to be missed for anyone scouting for great new audio solutions for their home cinema, two-channel stereo setup, connected whole-home audio, and more.

Last Thursday saw the Montreal chapter of the CEDIA Tech + Business Summit take place, and once again, we're thrilled with the turnout.

In looking back at these three events, it's clear that sometimes the best returns don’t always show up on a sales report. Instead, returns manifest in the spontaneous conversations that strengthen existing relationships, the introductory planted seeds that lead to new relationships, and in the nurturing of the passion that moves the industry forward. The 2026 editions of the CEDIA Tech + Business Summits were yet another great reminder of just how much energy, innovation, and opportunity exists across this community.

We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to connect with us at the shows, and to our exceptional brand partners for their continued support. The Toronto edition of this year's CEDIA Tech + Business Summit is in full swing - it's on until 6pm and it ain't over 'till it's over so pass by and say hello if you can! But if you can't make it then here's a few "plausibly live" shots to take you into Canada's premier industry event for , complete with cameos from Karem, Damir from JVCKENWOOD Canada Inc., and our new friends at Inno-Leader LED Technology Ltd.! If you look *really* closely, you'll find Inc.'s Robert Choate, and Origin Acoustics' Jose Coelho. Vanco International's Brandon White and Justin Fothergill from HDA Systems aren't in these pics, but we promise they're both at the show and want you to come say hello! Finally, fellow Sherpateers Scott Donaldson and Steven Rice are lurking in the images - don't say we can't have some fun with these posts!

This has been another fantastic showcase of our industry, demonstrating just how full of amazing solutions, people and opportunities for growth there are.

While the event will be wrapping up in the next couple of hours, we still have the finale in Montreal to look forward to on Thursday this week; if you're an integrator who has not yet registered - miss the event at your own peril!
