Two real stories.
A tween finishes a babysitting course, gets the certificate, feels excited. And then… The certificate sits in a drawer and the kid is back on the phone scrolling.

Two 7th graders decide to shovel driveways together. They write a flyer, print it out, walk the neighbourhood, tape it to every lamppost. Crickets. After months they finally land one job and immediately argue about who does what, who gets paid how much, and who’s actually responsible for showing up.
Neither story ends with a business. Both end with frustration.

These are real stories we watched.
And they happen because having a skill is not the same as knowing how to turn it into something.
Knowing how to shovel snow doesn’t mean you know how to build a snow-shoveling business.
That’s when the mentorship is necessary.

Resilience is not developed by removing every obstacle from a child’s path. It develops through meaningful experiences that allow children to navigate uncertainty, solve problems, experience failure, and discover that they are capable of moving forward.

As Jonathan Haidt emphasizes, children need opportunities to develop independence and learn through real-world experiences.

We should not aim to build the road for our children. We should help build the capacity within our children to navigate the road ahead.

More toys are now sold to adults than to kids. Gen Alpha has become a generation of little consumers. The only ones benefitting from this toddler-to-consumer pipeline are corporations.

Nobody told him he could start a business. Nobody gave him startup capital. He looked at a machine in his house and saw a service nobody else was offering. He charged for it. That’s the whole story.

The Miele commercial everyone’s talking about shows a child who takes a dishwasher and turns it into a bicycle-washing business for his neighbours. No investors. No permission. Just the ability to look at something everyone else walks past and see an opportunity.

This is what entrepreneurship looks like before the world talks you out of it.
At Wayfinders Club by Kindraza, we know that entrepreneurship is not just what you are born with. It is a learnable skill that can be taught, nurtured, and mastered when you are placed in the right environment.

If adults can get pulled into the “perfect life” illusion online, imagine how easy it is for teens to get lost in it. 📱

Ditch the Label’s “Are You Living an Insta Lie?” is a clever short film that exposes the gap between what we post and what is actually happening behind the screen. Created in partnership with boohoo.com, it takes familiar Instagram behaviours, from carefully staged selfies to heavily filtered travel shots, and flips them to show the reality behind the perfect-looking posts.

What makes the film work is that it never needs to lecture you about social media. Instead, it uses humour and uncomfortable little reveals to make you question how much of what you see online is actually real. Years later, the idea still feels incredibly relevant because the pressure to present a perfect version of life hasn’t really gone away.

That’s exactly why Kindraza exists: to give teens more real-life influences, friends, and experiences—so phones and social media don’t end up being their main influencer. 🌱

At Wayfinders, teens actually make decisions, build projects, work as a team, solve problems and generate revenue.

The goal isn’t to turn 12-15-year-olds into CEOs.

It’s to give them something real to own and the experience of discovering what they’re capable of.

Wayfinders Club is designed around a simple idea: teens grow when they’re challenged, supported, and trusted with something real.

They don’t just sit in a classroom learning about entrepreneurship. They build real community projects, make decisions, earn real money, learn to save toward something meaningful, and create friendships along the way.

And eventually, they get to see where all that work can take them — 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮.
The group will choose, plan, and fund a trip together using what they’ve earned.

Because there’s something powerful about working hard for something you care about and experiencing the reward together.
