Like a dog, I've been programmed
to enjoy my imprisonment
Taxed and spayed, blind and bloated
Over fed, cone on my head
Day after day, I'm not complaining
My kennel is warm and the bitch is in heat
Far better off than the strays who live out on the street

Pushing daisies instead
Helping the grass to grow green in her head
All my life I've been trained to be so complacent and mild

I'm going back, back to the forest
Dark mother of death and time
Feel the blood drip down like hunger
One with hell and the sunshine
We would be freezing and starving
No time to invent things to hate and to hold
Take my hand, let's go back to the ways of the old

Ungrateful? Maybe so
