As an Indigenous organization, we know that Truth and Reconciliation carries both sorrow and hope.

We recognize the heartache that comes from generations of harm, the truths that are difficult to face, and the ongoing impacts of colonization that Indigenous communities continue to experience. We also know the strength that comes from our cultures, our teachings, and our people.

Today, we honour Survivors, we remember the children who never returned home, and we acknowledge the families and communities forever changed by these experiences.

May we all continue to listen with open hearts, learn with humility, and take meaningful action toward reconciliation every day of the year.

Every child matters. Every voice matters. Every action matters.

How we’re honouring Truth and Reconciliation in September:

For the second year in a row, team members at Saltmedia and IT Horizons will be taking part in the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation's Truth and Reconciliation Week Lunch & Learn series. These sessions are open to the public and focus on learning, reflection, and understanding the ongoing impacts of residential schools and colonialism.

As small businesses, we want to create space for learning, meaningful conversations, and action when it comes to reconciliation. That's why we're paying our team to attend these sessions, and afterwards, we'll come together to share what we've learned and discuss how we can continue to take action in our work and our communities.

If you're looking for a way to participate this year, consider joining one of the free Lunch and Learn sessions offered by the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation: https://trw-svr.nctr.ca/lunch-and-learns/.

Open to all schools across Canada, this education portal supports free, age-appropriate, education curriculums for students in grades 1-12. Registration is required.

Every Call Represents Your Organization

When someone reaches out to your organization, the experience starts before a conversation even begins.

Your phone system is often a customer's first impression of your organization. Features like intelligent call routing, voicemail transcription, and personalized greetings help callers reach the right person faster and get the information they need with less frustration.

A modern VoIP system helps you deliver a professional, consistent experience at every touchpoint. Custom greetings, branded hold music, and easy-to-manage call handling tools help your team stay responsive while creating a more polished experience for your customers.

Better communication doesn't have to be complicated. Reach out and let's chat about how IT Horizons can help with the right phone system for your team.

The biggest technology challenges aren't always major outages or emergencies.

More often, they're the little frustrations that add up over time:

• Missed calls
• Confusing systems
• Multiple tools that don't work well together
• Time spent trying to make technology cooperate

We believe technology should remove roadblocks, not create them.

That's why we focus on practical solutions, like VoIP phone systems, that help teams work more smoothly and save employers from endlessly waiting on hold with big phone companies.

Because you've got more important things to do than fight with your phone system.

Work From Anywhere. Stay Connected Everywhere.

The way we work has changed, but many phone systems haven't kept up.

Whether your team is in the office, working from home, travelling, or out in the field, a cloud-based phone system (also called VoIP for Voice Over Internet Protocol) can help everyone stay connected using the same business number.

Your team can answer calls from a desk phone, computer, or mobile device, making it easier to stay reachable without juggling multiple systems.

Simple, flexible technology should support your team, wherever work happens.

Have you ever missed an important call because you were away from your desk?

Or struggled to manage a call with multiple people?

For many organizations, their phone system hasn't kept pace with the way they work. It may be time to switch to VoIP.

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a business phone system that uses the internet instead of traditional phone lines. It gives your team one business phone system that works across desk phones, computers, and mobile devices and offers video and conference calling.

Instead of being tied to a single desk phone, your team can stay connected from the office, home, or on the road using one seamless phone system.

The result? Fewer missed calls, better customer service, and more flexibility for your team.

At IT Horizons, we take care of planning, set up, and support for a VoIP system that will fit the way your team works, whether they're in the office, remote, or on the go.

Contact us today for a friendly chat about how we can help you with the right tech for your organization.
