CPU Reballing: Samsung S24 Ultra & iPad 9

In this video, I perform a CPU reball on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and an Apple iPad 9th Gen. Reballing is a precision micro-soldering technique utilized in advanced motherboard repair and data recovery. The process involves removing the processor, applying fresh solder paste through a specialized stencil, and using hot air to form hundreds of uniform micro-solder connections. This allows the CPU to be successfully reattached to the board, restoring functionality to dead devices.

Why Modern Phones Are nearly IMPOSSIBLE To Fix 📱💥

Ever wonder why local shops won't touch a dead modern smartphone? Modern flagships like the S23 Ultra use complex "sandwich boards" to save space, making data recovery incredibly difficult. When a phone dies overnight or from a heavy drop, microscopic fractures between these two boards are usually the culprit. We use advanced microsoldering techniques to split these boards, locate the microscopic breaks, and precisely resolder the connections to recover your lost data.

Expert Warns Don't Use Cheap Cables or You Might END UP Like This

Cheap gas station chargers can literally fry your phone. This Samsung A14 came into Repairtech Rx completely dead, pulling zero power. Watch as we track down a massive short circuit, surgically remove an Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) chip that welded itself to the motherboard, and bring this device back to life with a fresh donor chip.

Don't let a $5 cable ruin your device!

Another repair shop said this sun-baked iPhone 14 was completely dead from a fatal logic board short. They were looking in the wrong place. Watch the condensed journey of how I tracked down a dead memory chip, performed microscopic board-level surgery, and brought this device back from the grave.

This is a Dell Alienware R15. In this video, I explore why a CPU's very low resistance is by design and not a short circuit. I demonstrate how to use an oscilloscope to test the power rails of a Dell Alienware gaming laptop, specifically focusing on the VCC core, VCC SA, and VCC IO lines. This crucial electronics diagnostic helps understand proper CPU function.

Watch the complete, step-by-step process of reballing an iPhone 14 sandwich board. This video covers the precise techniques required for successful board-level microsoldering, from stencil preparation to the final reflow and merging of the dual-layer motherboard.

Technical Breakdown:

Preparation: Cleaning the board, securing the stencil, and applying the exact consistency of solder paste.

Forming Solder Balls: Using hot air and flux to transform paste into uniform, shiny solder connections.

Inspection: Cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and visually verifying the height and volume of the solder balls down the length of the board.

Merging the Boards: Using a bottom pre-heater at 190°C to safely melt the solder, allowing the top board to properly float into place without bridging or short circuits.

iPhone 8 plus CPU Reball
The secret to the perfect CPU Reball? Dry. Your. Paste. 🧠 Excess flux in your solder paste causes solder balls to pop out and bridge when you apply heat. By drying the paste on a paper towel first, you get perfect, uniform balls every time.

Too stressful? We do this every day. 📦 Mail-In Data Recovery (Canada/USA): https://www.repairtechrx.ca/data-recovery/

Watch the microscopic process of reballing the main Power Management IC (PMIC) on a completely dead 2023 M2 MacBook Air (Model A2941).

This chip features a dense 21x20 array, meaning there are exactly 420 tiny solder balls that must be rebuilt by hand using solder paste, a specialized stencil, and precise hot air. Because this PMIC routes power from the charger to the entire logic board, a single bridged connection between a high-voltage and low-voltage line will permanently destroy the device.

If you have a dead MacBook, liquid damage, or need critical board-level data recovery, we can help. Repairtech Rx specializes in advanced microsoldering and logic board repair.
