🎙️ Introducing a TEDxArgyleSt 2026 Speaker

Wyndolyn Brown Survivor, Advocate & Transformational Coach | Founder, Empowerment for Hope Society

Wyndolyn Brown is a survivor of childhood abuse, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking. She did not just survive. She built something from it. As the founder of Empowerment for Hope Society, she develops trauma-informed programs, workshops, and retreats for individuals impacted by gender-based violence, sexual assault, and trafficking.

She is a Trauma-Informed Coach, Certified ASIST Facilitator, Certified Domestic Violence Facilitator, Certified Child and Youth Care Worker, and a Meditation and Wellness Coach. Through advocacy, education, and raw storytelling, Wyndolyn has dedicated her life to helping survivors reclaim their voice and transform their pain into purpose.

At TEDxArgyleSt 2026, she will be speaking on From Survival to Significance.
Society has been taught to see survivors as broken. Wyndolyn is here to dismantle that entirely.

This talk will take you through the unfiltered reality of trauma and out the other side, showing how healing, community, and self-reclamation can turn the most painful chapters into the most powerful ones.

She will share three truths she learned the hard way: the power of self-healing, the necessity of community, and how lived experience becomes the most credible form of leadership there is. You will not leave this talk unchanged.

🎙️ Introducing a TEDxArgyleSt 2026 Speaker

Madusha Ranaweera Leadership Consultant | Former Global CEO | Founder of the Disconnection Lounge

Madusha Ranaweera became CEO of a global organic and fair-trade food export company at 31, leading a thousand-person organization across Sri Lanka, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

By 33, she had burned out completely. Armed with an undergraduate degree in psychology and neuroscience from Acadia University and a master's from the University of St. Andrews, she understood exactly what was happening in her brain. But knowing was not enough.

She had to find what actually worked. That journey brought her to Nova Scotia, where she now runs a leadership consultancy and is building the Disconnection Lounge, the world's first commercially accessible digital detox space by the hour.

At TEDxArgyleSt 2026, she will be speaking on Rage is the Opposite of Evolution.
We are making the most critical decisions of our lives, how we vote, how we lead, how we treat each other, from a place of unexamined rage. Madusha will show you exactly what that costs and why, backed by neuroscience, rage is not passion or strength. It is a neurological hijack that shuts down creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking entirely.

She will share the four-step framework she built the hard way, through burnout, research, and years of working with leaders under pressure. Simple. Battle-tested. And exactly what this moment demands.

Cities do not evolve by accident. They evolve by intention, by the people willing to sit in a room together, navigate tension, and build something bigger than any one voice.

Ashwin and Paul will share the real story behind Vision 2030, how inclusive visioning, honest dialogue, and shared stewardship are turning Halifax into a model for how downtowns grow with their communities, not just around them. If you live, work, or belong to this city, this talk is about you.

🎙️ Introducing a TEDxArgyleSt 2026 Speaker

INGRID DEON, Founder & CEO of word-craft | Award-Winning Social Media Marketing Agency

Ingrid Deon is a former journalist who became a single mother living below the poverty line in rural Nova Scotia. Working three jobs just to stay afloat, she eventually landed a marketing role, only to discover a colleague was earning $15,000 more than her for the same work.

When her boss refused to fix it, she made a decision that changed everything. She built word-craft from the ground up, an award-winning social media marketing agency now serving national clients like Nestlé Canada, RBC, and Manulife, from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. She is a proud Acadian, President of the Conseil acadien de Par-en-Bas, and a fierce advocate for rural communities and the women within them.

At TEDxArgyleSt 2026, she will be speaking on You Can Always Reshuffle Your Deck.

Too many people believe their circumstances define them. Rural means limited. Poor means stuck. Ingrid is living proof that constraints are not the end of the story, they are the beginning of a better one. She will share the framework she used to turn geographic isolation, financial desperation, and systemic barriers into the exact fuel that built her business.

You will leave this talk asking a different question entirely.
Not how do I escape my limitations, but how do I use them.

🎙️ Introducing a TEDxArgyleSt 2026 Speaker

T**i Akinsanmi ( ), Global Policy Strategist | 2025 Women in Tech Global Leadership Award Winner

T**i Akinsanmi started by hustling to pay for computer lessons. She went on to become a journalist, a TV presenter, and eventually Google's Global Lead for Generative AI Policy, shaping AI, data privacy, and digital infrastructure frameworks across 50+ countries.

She advises C-suite executives and heads of state, contributes to the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council, and now leads demistef.ai, bridging global tech policy with high-impact local needs.

She has spoken at Davos, Harvard, and international forums worldwide. In 2025, she was named the Global Winner of the Women in Tech Global Leadership Award.

At TEDxArgyle St 2026, she will be speaking on The Human Bridge: Why AI's Future Is Not Technical, It's Relational.

Everyone is racing toward AI fluency. T**i is asking the question nobody else is brave enough to ask. What happens when we optimize for code and forget the human? This talk will shift how you see yourself in the AI economy, whether you are technical or not, whether you are in a boardroom or just beginning. You will leave with a framework and a fire.

Science explains the mechanism.
Art explains the meaning.

One helps us understand how the heart beats. The other helps us understand why it breaks.

We often separate STEM and the arts as if they belong to different worlds, but the truth is that they need each other. Innovation without humanity is incomplete, and creativity without understanding lacks direction.

Maybe success isn’t about being perfectly polished or having everything figured out. Maybe success is wholeness—the courage to embrace every piece of who you are, including the parts you once tried to hide.

Like stained glass, our greatest strength may come from the fragments that make us whole.

ADHD is often discussed through the lens of challenges—academic struggles, workplace difficulties, and social obstacles.

But what if we’re only hearing half the story?

As highlighted in The Creativity of ADHD by Scientific American, ADHD may also come with a remarkable strength: the ability to think differently, make unexpected connections, and approach problems with greater creativity.

Sometimes, what the world sees as a limitation can also be a source of innovation.

The question isn’t just how we support people with ADHD—it’s how we recognize and nurture the unique perspectives they bring to the world.
