Your homepage doesn’t need to tell visitors absolutely everything about your business.

It needs to help them quickly answer a few important questions.

Who are you?
What do you offer?
Who do you help?
Why should they trust you?
What should they do next?

Trying to fit every detail onto your homepage usually makes the most important information harder to find.

Keep it clear. Give visitors enough information to understand your business, then guide them to the page that answers their next question.

Clear will always be more effective than clever.

Okay, this feels a little wild.

KN Creative Marketing is FIVE! 🎉

Yes, that is me holding up a phone with a giant number 5 on it because apparently this is how we celebrate business birthdays around here.

I started KN Creative Marketing after my second son was born. I had years of sales and marketing experience, a love of design and process, and a slightly ridiculous number of lists. I also knew I was ready to leave the corporate world and build something of my own.

When my first client trusted me with their business in October 2021, I had no idea what this little idea would become.

KN Creative started with logos, branding packages and marketing materials. Over the past five years, it has grown into custom Wix websites, SEO, email marketing, ongoing website support and resources that help business owners feel more confident online.

Somewhere along the way, I also became a Wix Legend Partner and Accessibility Specialist, worked with incredible businesses across Canada and built a business that feels more like me than anything I could have imagined five years ago.
It has not always been perfectly polished. There have been lessons, pivots, tech problems and plenty of moments when I wondered what I had gotten myself into.

But there have also been so many amazing clients, exciting launches, happy tears and moments when I have looked at what I built and thought, “Wow. This is actually working.”

My goals for the future are pretty simple. I want to keep creating thoughtful, accessible websites that help small businesses grow. I want to create more useful resources for business owners. And I want KN Creative to stay personal, collaborative and genuinely helpful as it grows.

We’re officially entering the final few months of the year.

Before you immediately start thinking about everything you haven’t finished, pause and look at how much you’ve already accomplished.

Running a business asks a lot of us. We’re the service provider, marketer, administrator, decision maker and problem solver, often all in the same hour.

Not everything gets done as quickly as we hoped, and that’s okay.

Now is a good time to ask yourself: What would make the biggest difference in my business before the end of the year?
Choose one meaningful priority.

You don’t have to finish the entire list to move your business forward.

Does your website still feel like you?

Not the version of you who started your business several years ago.

The one with more experience, clearer services, stronger boundaries and a better understanding of the clients you want to work with.
