In 1905, Lee Loomis founded the Cleary Creek Commercial Company. By using a dog sled, he supplied Alaskan miners with daily commodities and equipment and returned with

gold. At a cost of $ 8000, he produced and put into operation the very first custom made armored secure transportation vehicle later called ‘Old Number One’. The company expanded its business in the western parts of the USA and Canada. In 1934, Erik Philip-Sorensen founded the Swedish security company ‘Helsingborgs Nattvakt’ later becoming Securitas in 1972. In the late 1980s, Securitas launched an international expansion, including acquisitions, and in 1999, entered the North American market as Group 4 Securicor (also known as G4S). Mayne Nickless was founded as a parcels company in 1886 by John Mayne and Enoch Nickless in Melbourne, Australia to provide parcel deliveries by horse and cart. During the 1970's and 1980's Mayne Nickless expanded rapidly becoming a giant diversified multinational. Its prime areas of operations during the 1980's and early 1990's were freight/transport, security and telecommunications/computing as well as a number of other projects. In 1979, after acquiring Wells Fargo Armored in Canada, the Loomis family decided to sell the Loomis Corporation. The following years were turbulent and the Loomis Corporation went through major changes, several acquisitions and takeovers such as by Mayne-Nickless and eventually, by Securicor in 2001, thus ending LACS presence in Canada.

OVER AND OUT…..After 35 years in law enforcement— and a deployment overseas— it’s time for my final sign-off to the greatest career with PRP.

What an incredible journey it has been.
I’ve have been blessed with the privilege of serving alongside some of the finest people one could ever meet.

The stories, the laughter, the challenges, and the unbreakable bonds of the blue family are impossible to fully put into words. If you’ve worn the blue…..you understand.

While I won’t miss the night shifts, the alarm clocks, or the call-outs, I will deeply miss the people. That is what made this career so meaningful. And if I were given the chance to go back and do it all again….I would in a heartbeat.

I do not know what my future holds….but my hand will hold up a glass….raised in honour of everyone I have served with, and for—thank you for being a part of my story.

Godspeed to all my brothers and sisters in blue, and to those serving overseas. Stay safe out there 💙
