I once bought a 1999 Jeep and taught myself to drive a five-speed on the way home.
Was that the ideal time to learn? No.
Did I stall at several intersections while complete strangers watched? Absolutely.
Not long after, I rebuilt the engine in my dad’s driveway - with no formal training and a concerning amount of confidence.
The emergency brake didn’t work either, so I carried a block of wood and wedged it behind the tire whenever I parked.
It wasn’t broken. It was just… manually secured. 😂
Eventually, I fixed that too.
That Jeep taught me something about myself:
When something isn’t working, I need to know why and apparently, I’m willing to make my life dramatically harder until I figure it out.
That same curiosity followed me into IT, marketing, communications, sales, web development and project management.
Eventually, I combined everything I’d learned and created BoostBC.
Today, I help small businesses fix the things they’ve been avoiding:
😬 The website last updated in 2017
👻 The social media account nobody has posted on since Christmas
📉 The Google Ads quietly eating the marketing budget
💻 The technology everyone is afraid to touch because “Gary set it up” and Gary left three years ago
BoostBC brings marketing and technology together without the confusing jargon, overpriced mystery packages or meetings that should have been emails.
Because most small-business problems don’t require more buzzwords.
They require someone willing to open the hood, figure out what isn’t working and actually fix it.
Thankfully, that’s kind of my thing.
