It’s been a challenging couple of months, and I’ve had to temporarily shift RepairTogether to the backburner. Burnout caught up with me, and the balance between work and life became unsustainable given everything happening beyond my control.
I needed to take a step back to prioritize my career and mental health. Thankfully, things are beginning to stabilize, and I’m now in a better place to re-engage with the project more consistently.
With such a small team, it’s always a delicate balancing act. Each of us is navigating personal circumstances outside of this initiative, and we’re doing our best to contribute within the limits of our time and emotional capacity.
I’m deeply grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding—especially around delayed drop times—during this transitional period.
To support better work-life balance moving forward, we’re scaling back our build/refurbish sessions to once or twice a month, each with an 8-hour work window. Drop-offs and pickups will also be scheduled during these designated weekends. In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing a public schedule of availability so we can better align with everyday life and avoid the kind of burnout we’ve experienced—because our mental and physical health is essential to sustaining this work long-term.
As we continue to grow, and hopefully secure more funding, we’ll keep adapting and improving, and we welcome feedback and ideas during this time.
Thank you for your every growing support
