Tech Tyro is an information hub where people are not only extended an invitation to learn, but are also presented with opportunities to apply those new skills and hone them to an advanced level. Focusing heavily on the crossover between programs and post-production pipelines, Tyros (followers/viewers) will learn the basics of each program taught, and gain the intuition and knowledge to complete th

Today, Tech Tyro celebrates its first birthday! On January 16, 2013, we officially launched our tutorial website featuring over 15 unique tutorials. To date, that number has grown to over 40.

We are grateful for the following we've had and for the opportunities that have stemmed from this undertaking. We will continue to serve you as we have and we look forward to another solid year.

Hey Tyros!

Just a quick resource to share with all of you! In our last tutorial, we showed you how to generate a texture that proved useful for many applications, including stars and lava. However, we understand that some of you may not have access to After Effects, so we're here today to distribute both a 4K image texture that you can wrap onto spheres, and a tileable 2K image texture optimized for more flat surfaces.
