Ampere Canada

Ampere Canada At the root of Pinnuaq is a respect and care for the rich languages and cultures that make up this planet.

Working alongside rural, remote, Indigenous, we deliver programs to cultivate STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) skills through innovative technology, art, and play, so we can all embrace the power that STEAM creates. Pinnuaq was created out of a desire to see strong programming available in Inuktitut, the Inuit language, and it roots itself in that mission as it moves forward.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to expand our work supporting seniors in the Kawartha Lakes and across Ontario as they build confidence in today’s digital world. 💻✨

With support from the Ontario government’s Civil Remedies Grant, Ampere's Connected and Protected program will deliver community workshops to help seniors and elders strengthen their digital literacy skills, from recognizing online scams and phishing attempts to staying safe while navigating the internet. 🙌

"This work is especially important as online harms continue to impact individuals of all ages, and it directly aligns with our mission to promote safety, empowerment, and well-being within our community," says Ryan Oliver, CEO of Ampere.

Stay tuned for more info about upcoming workshops!

inSTEAM was an absolute DREAM 🔬

Far too many girls and non-binary youth never see themselves in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

In partnership with the Women Changemakers Fund of Kawartha Lakes, Ampere welcomed nearly 100 grade 10–12 girls and non-binary students to the Ampere Kawartha Lakes Makerspace to explore, create, and connect with women leaders in STEAM who have paved their own path.

There's transformative power when you see yourself inSTEAM. Take your place.
