Our CEO, James Parsons, had an opportunity to present to the 1st and 2nd year IT students at the yesterday for their IT Day. As a local MSP, it’s easy to stay focused on clients, operations, and growth. But the long-term strength of our community depends on what’s coming next—specifically, the people entering the workforce and the paths available to them here at home.

There’s a strong connection between Medicine Hat College and local industry, and it’s one we should continue to invest in. The talent coming out of MHC is real. What they need is visibility into what careers actually look like beyond the classroom.

When Partek started back in 2008, there wasn’t a big strategy session about vision statements or core values. The goal was simple: take care of clients and do good work.

Over the years, we’ve grown. More team members. More clients. More responsibility. And that made us realize something — what feels obvious to a founder isn’t always obvious to a team.

So we finally did something we probably should have done a long time ago.

We put our Core Values, Vision, and Mission up on the wall.

Not because it looks nice (although it does thanks to 😉), but because it matters.

It’s a daily reminder of who we are and what we stand for:
• People and community first
• Earn trust through action
• Clarity over complexity
• Take ownership and raise the standard

We exist to humanize IT. To help businesses feel supported, understood, and secure.

As we’ve grown up as a company, it’s become clear that culture can’t just live in someone’s head. It has to be shared. Repeated. Seen.

This is one small way we keep ourselves grounded in what really matters.
