This MacBook came into our shop with batteries that had noticeably expanded inside the computer. A swollen battery can put pressure on surrounding components and may cause the trackpad, keyboard, or bottom case to lift or feel different.

⚠️ Signs to watch for:
• MacBook no longer sits flat
• Trackpad feels raised or difficult to click
• Bottom case starts separating
• Battery life suddenly gets worse
• Visible swelling inside the device

A swollen lithium-ion battery should not be ignored or punctured. If you notice any of these signs, stop using the MacBook and have it professionally inspected.
