📦 PART 3: WEEDING, PACKAGING & SHIPPING 🚚

The final step in creating our Sensory Paths Canada® graphics is weeding and preparation for shipping. After each graphic is precisely cut, our team carefully removes the excess vinyl by hand, ensuring every shape, letter, and design element is clean and ready for installation.

This attention to detail helps ensure a smooth installation experience for schools, childcare centres, therapy clinics, and educational facilities across Canada.

Once inspected for quality, each sensory path is carefully packaged and shipped to its destination. Whether it's heading to a classroom in Ontario, a school in British Columbia, or a learning centre in Atlantic Canada, we take pride in delivering high-quality sensory path graphics that help create active, engaging learning environments.

Thank you for following along with our behind-the-scenes production process—from printing, to laminating and cutting, to weeding and shipping. Every sensory path is proudly designed, produced, and shipped right here in Canada. 🇨🇦

✨ PART 2: LAMINATING & CUTTING OUR SENSORY PATHS ✂️

After printing, every Sensory Paths Canada® graphic is protected with a premium laminate designed to increase durability and extend the life of the sensory path. This protective layer helps guard against daily foot traffic, scuffs, scratches, and cleaning products commonly found in schools and educational facilities.

Once laminated, our Roland VG640i precision cuts each graphic to its exact shape and size. This process ensures clean edges, accurate alignment, and professional-quality sensory path components that are ready for installation.

The combination of high-quality lamination and precision cutting helps create durable floor graphics that can stand up to the demands of busy hallways, classrooms, and learning spaces.

Stay tuned for Part 3, where we'll take you behind the scenes of weeding, packaging, and shipping your sensory paths across Canada!

🍎 TEACHER TIP: Movement for Focus

If attention is slipping, adding more instruction won’t fix it.

Changing the state will.

A quick burst of movement—think squats beside the desk, a stretch to the ceiling, or a fast-paced hallway loop—can help students reset their brains and come back ready to engage.

Why it works? Movement increases oxygen flow, wakes up the nervous system, and helps students feel more in control of their bodies.

Instead of pushing through low focus, try shifting gears.

That’s where sensory paths for schools make it simple—giving students a clear, structured way to move with purpose and return to learning faster.

🧠 OT Insight: Proprioceptive input plays a key role in student self-regulation and classroom success.

Proprioception is the body’s ability to sense movement, action, and position. When students engage in activities like jumping, pushing, or balancing, they receive important sensory input that helps organize the nervous system.

This type of proprioceptive input for students supports:
âś” Self-regulation
âś” Classroom focus and attention
âś” Emotional control
âś” Smooth transitions throughout the school day

That’s why sensory paths for schools are such a powerful tool. They provide structured, movement-based opportunities that help students regulate and return to learning ready to succeed.

🧠 FUN FACT: Sensory paths aren’t just for “extra energy”…

They support all learners.

Movement isn’t a behaviour fix—it’s a brain tool.
Whether a student is feeling restless, overwhelmed, or even just trying to stay focused, movement helps the brain reset and re-engage.

That means sensory paths can support:
âś” Focus and attention
âś” Memory and retention
âś” Self-regulation
âś” Smooth transitions throughout the day

Because every student benefits from movement—not just the ones who need to “burn off energy.”

🏫 School hallways are more than just transitional spaces—they’re untapped learning environments.

For many students, transitions between classes can lead to increased energy, reduced focus, and challenges with self-regulation. But with intentional design, hallways can become a powerful support tool.

Sensory paths for schools transform hallways into engaging, movement-based environments that help students regulate, refocus, and return to learning ready to succeed.

âś” Support self-regulation
âś” Stay engaged in the classroom

When movement is part of the day, students are more ready to learn—and more excited to do it.

That’s why sensory paths for schools are such an effective way to bring energy, focus, and fun into your space.
