The AI4Good Lab is an introductory AI training for women and gender diverse people that prepares participants to build machine learning projects for social good.

Last Tuesday, Mila - Institut québécois d'intelligence artificielle hosted the AI4Good Lab’s Demo Day, bringing together all four cohorts to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 10 years of the AI4Good Lab. Participants showcased the impactful AI projects they have been building since May.

None of this would have been possible without the collaboration of CIFAR our co-founder and delivery partner, alongside The Vector Institute and Amii - Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute.

Congratulations to our four winning teams: Feeds, Aria, Okai Period, and Perspect!

Mardi dernier, Mila a accueilli la Journée démo du AI4Good Lab, rassemblant les quatre cohortes pour célébrer un jalon remarquable : les 10 ans du Lab. Les participantes ont présenté les projets d'IA à fort impact sur lesquels elles travaillent depuis mai.

Aujourd’hui, nous sommes fier·ère·s d’annoncer la cohorte 2026 du AI4Good Lab, réunissant des participant·e·s talentueux·ses de partout au Canada. Dans une semaine, les cohortes se réuniront en personne à Amii (Edmonton), The Vector Institute (Toronto) et Mila (Montréal), ainsi qu'en virtuel, avec le soutien de notre partenaire fondateur et de mise en oeuvre, CIFAR.
Au cours des 7 semaines du programme, les participant·e·s prendront part à des projets concrets, des ateliers animés par des expert·e·s et de belles occasions de réseautage, tout en explorant comment l’intelligence artificielle peut être mise au service du bien commun.
Félicitations à la cohorte 2026 ! Nous avons hâte de vous accueillir et de voir naître vos innovations porteuses d’impact. 🎉

Today, we’re proud to announce the AI4Good Lab 2026 cohort, bringing together talented trainees from across Canada. In one week, participants will join us in person at Amii (Edmonton), Vector Institute (Toronto), and Mila (Montreal), as well as through our virtual cohort, with the continued support of our founding and delivery partner, CIFAR.
Over the next 7 weeks, participants will take part in hands-on projects, expert-led workshops, and meaningful networking opportunities—all focused on exploring how AI can be harnessed for social good.
