'Diverse perspectives, one team', one of our core values, a big part of our culture, and one that feels especially meaningful today.

Last night, we were proud to be named the winner of the 'Diversity in Tech Advocate Award' at the techNL Industry Awards 2026, nominated by Laura Aguirre Polo at Amal Youth and Family Centre.

Across 17 countries, speaking 18 languages, 33% of our team comes from international backgrounds. That mix shows up in how we think, how we challenge ideas, and how we build and innovate. It’s a big part of what makes Solace, Solace.

Another major step forward for Solace! We are proud to share that we have secured our 7th contract with , valued at US$3.8 million - our largest aerospace contract yet!

This new phase builds on our flight-qualified wireless power work and now brings wireless power and data together for next-generation aerospace systems - a big win for our team, technology, and for deep-tech innovation from Newfoundland and Labrador.

As our team grows, so does our space. We’ve expanded into additional space downstairs, and because it wouldn’t be Solace without a little fun, we marked the milestone with an open house for the whole team to explore.

Of course, no Solace celebration is complete without snacks, laughter, and this time, a sweet twist: custom-made chocolate bars from Newfoundland Chocolate Company. After all, we take our work (and our chocolate) seriously, but not ourselves. 😉

We’ve had two beers (with Landwash Brewery) and now a chocolate. What do you think our next local partnership should be?

This week, we say goodbye to Anastasiia Kryvchun, Charlie England, and Tansy Staniland, who joined us through the techNL High School Tech Immersion Program.

Over the past month, they've been part of our team full-time, learning the ropes in both tech and business, and making valuable contributions along the way.

It’s been a joy to work with these young talents. They brought curiosity, commitment, and a spark that will be missed. We wish them the very best in what’s ahead!
