Had an amazing time meeting my RGD mentor, Mehdi, in Canada!

Last year, I had the privilege of participating in the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) Mentorship program and had the honour of being mentored by Mehdi Ghareh Mohammadi RGD/CDP™.

His 24 years of experience provided valuable insights into web, application, and graphic design, branding, and business operations. Grateful for the opportunity and the guidance!

I still can't believe I met my dream mentor face-to-face, just like I can’t believe he chose me from many candidates last year. I had great improvement and gained valuable experience in design and business with his help. I am now focused on establishing my own business, specializing in web design and UI/UX design.

Meeting my dream mentor in person was an unforgettable experience. He is very kind and easy to get along with. Thank you, Mehdi! Thank you, RGD and Mentorship program!

Are you looking for a modern and eye-catching postcard design to promote your brand? Look no further!

My latest postcard design is perfect for reminding existing customers and targeting new, potential customers. Featuring a coffee latte on the front, the design exudes a calm and peaceful vibe. The coffee foam is integrated with a logo shape that I created, giving it a unique and professional touch. I used a popular design trick to make the text look like it’s behind an object, and the background is a beautiful bokeh of leaves and pedals created with generative AI. On the back of the postcard, I filled the logo shape with my digital illustration and reshaped the text box to look like the shadow of the logo. This gives it a cohesive and polished look.

I created this postcard from scratch, using a photo of a coffee latte that I edited in Adobe Photoshop for the front of the postcard. For the back, I applied Adobe Illustrator to create the digital illustration.

The owner of North Bay Laura Hair Salon wanted a video to introduce the hair services applied to social media posts and websites. I took serval video clips and tried several ways to edit them, such as Vimeo, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects. The fastest way is Vimeo, but I don't like the watermark "Vimeo" and don't want to upgrade my plan to take it off. Eventually, I used Adobe Premiere to edit the order and duration of videos and added the motion graphics in Adobe After Effects.

It included the header, fullwidth carousel siders with slogans, blurbs of contact info, About Us, Service, blurbs of "why choose us", blurbs of services, interior photos, Google Review, and the footer with contact info and a Pinch-to-call feature.

I made an animated 404 error page for my website from scratch. It's my first time drawing and animating in Procreate with Apple Pencil. I felt great pleasure and achievement when I completed it. I created funny content/action about a broken robot trying to float out of the page and the "404" balloon bounced her back every time. I like the loop that he successfully floated up and then the action came back.

A little change makes a big difference in accessible graphic design and user experience (UI) design. My client gave me a great accomplishment and told me her clients, most of them are mid-age and senior, will like the Zoom-in and Zoom-out features to zoom the whole page on mobile. It is accessible and convenient for people who have eyesight problems.

When I accessed the Google Maps service for connecting to my client's location on the Contact web page, I noticed Google Maps is no longer free. I knew my client wouldn't spend money on it. So I made a CTA button to link to Google Maps and screenshot a map to show the location. The problem is the map is too small to see the details on mobile. To fix this problem I added the code in the File Manager plugin. The result is the web pages on mobile can be zoomed in and zoomed out with gestures. This zoom feature also helps people to read long paragraphs and engage with the content on the website.
