Here's why.

When working with multicolor prints, every layer, and sometimes theres a lot of layers, theres colour changes. Every time it does a colour change the print head goes to the shoot, p**ps out the old colour, switches the new colour and p**ps out some new colour to ensure no colour bleed, wipes itself and continues on.

But where does it go? Well it shoots out the p**p chute out the back of the printer.

This filament cannot be reused (unless you want to melt it down and put it moulds) and is essentially wasted filament.

Its the sacrifice made to get beautiful prints.
