This is a brief Q&A session about different color options for barcode labels.
For some clients, it is necessary to match a barcode label color to an asset color. Other clients want to use colors as identification of certain classes of physical assets. We experimented with multiple background colors.
This video explains how to design barcode labels:
- With other than white background,
- White stripes on black background, and
- Transparent labels.

An automatic measurement and recording of temperatures, over time, is a requirement for some businesses. Usually, it is to confirm compliance with a predefined set of limits. Temperature loggers use one of three technologies: RFID-FH, RFID-UHF and BLE.
This video briefly describes each approach, its advantages and disadvantages.
Our software solution allows setting the temperatures for high and low limits, and the reporting system will provide a variety of reports, including summary reports, exception reports, or detailed history reports including the identity of the individual taking the readings.

When a specific document needs to be retrieved from a large archive / storage or when paper-based files move rapidly around several desks in multiple offices, RFID tracking is the way to go. Documents may be tracked down even when they cannot be seen - for example they are under other files, in a briefcase or have fallen behind a desk.

Sales Support Position

Job Details: SageData Solutions (www.sagedata.com) is an established technology company providing systems to the Federal Government and private sector, since 1991. This is a full time position, Monday to Friday; 9 am to 5 pm. The candidate will work at our offices in Ottawa, supporting and executing Sales Activity from initial contact through proposals, order acceptance, delivery, installation, training and on-going support.

Product Description: The product is a system capable of assisting clients in a wide range of activities including: inventory taking, inspections, warehouse management, delivery confirmation, construction and health care. The applications are always interesting. Gaining some detailed knowledge of each client’s activity is generally a part of the process.

Job Description: Initially working with an experienced individual to “learn the trade”. Gradually taking on more responsibility, until, ultimately, operating independently as a key member of the team, liaising between clients and technical personnel.

Job Responsibilities: Responding to client enquiries from web responses and call ins. Responding to RFPs. Occasionally designing and executing campaigns to attract new clients.

Experience Required: Sales experience can be an asset, but is not a requirement, as this is an unusual product, and the sales cycle is very specific.

Skills Required: Comfortable talking with prospective clients, and taking the time to understand the detail of their requirements in order to offer the best and most appropriate of several solutions.
French is an asset but not a requirement. Good computer skills, particularly with word processing and spreadsheets is required. Good command of the English language (as in, ability to write detailed proposals) a strong asset.

Education: A degree is an asset, but not a requirement.

Salary Range: Starting salary in the range $40k to $45k. Group health benefits are available on completion of an initial trial period.
